Represents real space in a more imaginary way by applying unrealistic tones of light and darkness based on local changes in contrast. The only color mode in Auto mode is i-Enhance, which has higher saturation and sharpening than Natural, which is the default in other modes. Touch AF Shutter - a new style of shooting made possible by combining FAST AF with touch screen operation. 1) FAST AF system with instantaneous autofocusing capability

Mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras, best exemplified by Olympus's PEN series, have received the warm and enthusiastic support of photographers who want to enjoy photography more conveniently. This market is fast expanding in Japan and Asia, where mirrorless cameras account for an great percentage of the digital camera market *1 . In the evolving camera market, the OLYMPUS PEN series has taken special pride in responding to the needs of new groups of photographers thanks to their stylish design, highly-portable compact size and light weight, and wide functionality that keeps expanding photography's expressive range. For example, they have become the camera of choice for women who are interested in camera as a means of self expression.

In this mode, battery usage increases and the maximum number of shots are reduced by about 60 (CIPA standards). Enhancing your creative options are 12 striking Art Filters and 6 Art Effects to choose from ensuring the E-PL6 has the potential to spread some serious envy online, with one-touch, one-of-a-kind movie clips and shots. E for Excellence. The rear panel monitor features a large, easy-to-view 3.0-inch, 460,000-dot high-definition LCD with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a swivel range of about 170° up and about 65° down. In addition to low- and high-angle shooting, self-portrait shooting can also be enjoyed comfortably. I used to own an E-PL5, and while it certainly had its faults, I used it with the VF-4. And I still have my SEMA-1 even though I only need the mic part now. The camera has a 16.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor and a large, tiltable swiveling high resolution LCD touchscreen allowing you to frame selfies and other shots easily.

For a camera designed for beginners, the E-PL10 is a mixed bag. It can be operated via its touchscreen, and in Auto mode there are sliders available to adjust a couple of commonly adjusted settings, though Olympus doesn't specify exactly what you're really changing, which makes advancing to more manual control a bit more difficult. The same image (Olympus' standard image) is used to calculate the number of storable pictures and file size in each mode.

Eliminates darker areas in the image to daringly represent bright color tones on a white canvas, adding soft contours to express a warm and bright world. Full-HD movies can be recorded in MOV format (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) *9 for easy viewing and editing on a PC. Movie recording is also possible in the traditional AVI format* (Motion JPEG). Audio is recorded in linear PCM in both formats. Touch AF can also be used for movie recording. Olympus Imaging Corporation (President: Haruo Ogawa) is pleased to announce the introduction of the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL6, a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera that conforms to the Micro Four Thirds System standard. It is scheduled to go on sale in the end of June, 2013. Main Features

The Nikon D3500 is a totally different beast. It's definitely behind the times in terms of tech, but shooting with its optical viewfinder is a different experience than using the LCD. You can see the real world, but without knowing what the resulting image will look like, unless you use live view, which has very slow autofocus on the D3500. What it's like to use? For the most part all of the controls act like you'd expect them to. But there is one exception, and it's a bit of a doozy. The rear control dial doesn't directly adjust the aperture or shutter speed if you're shooting in A or S mode as you'd expect. Instead you need to press the up direction on the dial, which allows you to use the up and down directional controls to adjust aperture or shutter speed, and left and right to dial in EV compensation. It's a control scheme that is common in PEN cameras, and one that I've never quite gotten used to. In addition to the slider-based menu available in Auto mode, there's also a button-driven shortcut menu (reached by pressing the OK button) as well as the overwhelming main menu. While the shortcut menu is handy, the main menu really needs to be revamped for less experienced users (and more experienced, to be honest).

It’s outwardly that the biggest differences between the E-PL8 and its predecessor become apparent. The body is now far more rounded, and a leather finish adds a touch of class. This camera is being specifically targeted at bloggers – and I can see the logic behind the design intentions there. Unfortunately, there’s no viewfinder with the E-PL8 as standard. Again, this is a clear indication that Olympus is targeting this camera at those more familiar taking photos with their smartphone. If you really feel you’re missing one, however, then there is an optional external EVF that can be bought separately. The all-metal E-PL6 looks set to be one of the smallest and lightest PEN yet, thanks to theM.ZUIKO 14-42mm pancake zoom lens bundled with the camera. It’s theworld’s slimmest Micro four thirds zoom lens, with a 3.5-5.6 aperture and 28-84mm 35mm equivalent. According to Olympus, compact system cameras don’t get any slimmer, although Panasonic’s Lumix GM1 would be take the title if it shipped with the former’s diminutive lens.
