When we speak of ‘gather’ or ‘fullness’ we are talking about the finished width of your curtain, including the soft folds that you will traditionally see nets, voiles and curtains have. This highly transparent base fabric, which has dense, balanced stripe detailing, reflects aspects of the natural world. Generally we recommend using a hand wash setting on your machine as this will provide the best temperature and spin.
For a Slot Top Header (suitable for hanging your curtain with a net rod or a wire) we would advise measuring from the top of the pole or wire, down to where you wish the curtain to fall to. While we do our best to represent the true colour of the fabrics in our images, we understand that the pictures that you see may vary in colour from one computer to the next. This means the curtain does not lie flat against the window or door, although this is something you can choose to have.

We aren't able to supply our fabric in half or quarter metres, therefore you will need to allow for full metres in your calculations.
Our made to measure curtains can be made to your exact window requirements and are available in a choice of heading styles including pencil pleat, double pleat, triple pleat, eyelet, tab top, rod pocket voile curtains. We want you to find the perfect fabric for your home, so we offer samples of all our curtain materials for you to gauge against the colour scheme in your home. Voiles do need hemmed sides to stop fraying, but the benefit is that they have a softer drape, and can come in more creative designs – colours, embroidery and fabric blends are all possibilities with voiles. In addition at NCD, we also provide a density rating for every net curtain in our range, from 1, the sheerest fabrics which maximize light, to 5 our densest designs or fabrics.
