About this deal

Second, the Combat Patrol versions of each faction’s datasheets army rules are different from their main Index. Datasheets are simpler, and armies have access to different Stratagems, and enhancements. The result? Tense, involved, but straightforward games that can be played in less than an hour.* There’s still plenty of nuance for Warhammer 40,000 experts to enjoy – swapping out Enhancements and Secondary Objectives to mix up their playstyle, and mastering each faction’s Combat Patrol in turn, without having to build up a full Incursion or Strike Force-sized army. Ah, the Blood Angels– noble and civilised sons of Sanguinius, most handsome, tragic, star-crossed and pretty of all the Emperor’s ‘Primarch’ sons. These renaissance Italy-themed space marines are among the most storied and popular chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. You might notice a few references to Imperial Knights in the AdMech codex. Adeptus Mechanicus are in a unique spot in the Imperium, as they have special ties to Imperial Knights in the fluff, with fully half the Knight Households being devoted to the Machine God specifically rather than the Imperium in general. To represent this, AdMech can grant Knights access to Canticles of the Omnissiah, as described above. It’s all fun and games until the 12 meter war machine gains light cover or gets a free reroll of a hit, wound, and damage dice. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal. – Mechanicus Skitarii Vanguard Taking Cover. Credit: Pendulin

More Skitarii– In 9th edition, our Skitarii got cheaper points-wise, deadlier, and double the amount can fit in a single unit. Regardless how how many of these you have, you’ll probably want at least a couple more. Purge Corps Deltic-9 is led by a Tech-Priest Manipulus by the name of Skand, who goes to war protected from enemy fire by a squad of 10 Skitarii Vanguard . Manipulus Skand can choose to deploy with the Aspergilla of Tarentum Enhancement to mist his allies with an energy-diffusing oil that improves survivability, or he can boost his bodyguards’ weapons with extra range and cover-penetrating capabilities using Overcharged Electropositors .We got so excited about Combat Patrol that we couldn’t help but come up with a few army lists, all coming in at around a Power Level of 25. We’re starting with a couple that you can make with the models in the new Indomitus boxed set . Indomitus Necrons

Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus and Codex: Necrons are both on the immediate horizon, and each brings a new Combat Patrol box of cold-hearted logisticians who want nothing more than to snuff out biological life with their superior technology. All Skitarii models (other than the Terrax, Secutarii Hoplites, and Secutarii Peltasts) have the Doctrina Imperatives ability. So long as you have at least one model alive in your army with the Doctrina Assembler keyword (i.e. a single Tech-Priest of any type or a Skitarii Marshal) at the start of the round, then units with the Doctrina Imperatives ability have access to the buffs (and debuffs) from one of the four different Doctrina Imperatives at your disposal. When building a full AdMech army, expect to be building multiple copies of the exact same box. In some cases, like Serberys or Ironstriders, expect to be building lots of them.
