This book is perfect for very young children with short attention spans, because both the text and illustrations are very simple. She gives lots of kisses, she bakes yummy cakes and she reads her an extra book at bedtime - what's not to love?

This charming book combines endearing things said by children about their mothers with gentle illustrations of familiar animals. The range of animals included is also good for prompting discussions with little ones by pointing out the different animals, such as pandas, elephants and giraffes. However I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that it doesn't ever mention any dad figure and the baby is sleeping in the mother's bed.
It was quite a cute book but it’s hard to review it when you’re not a small child and don’t have much dealings with them.
