About this deal

While this is really cool, it’s far from affordable for the average Joe like me. As such, I’ve been on the lookout for some Breitling Navitimer alternatives, which offer that same type of look for far less money. If you’re considering saving up for the real thing, one of these options could more than fill the void until that day occurs.

The dial and bezel of this model have a beautiful blue coloured tone to them. The hands and hour markers are coated with Super Luminova for excellent visibility in dim lit conditions. There’s also 3 chronograph subdials and a small date indicator on display. At the heart of this Rotary Les Originales Swiss watch is a Swiss automatic movement for accurate and reliable timekeeping. The movement never needs a battery as it charges up from the movement of your wrist. This higher end Rotary watch makes use of a quality domed sapphire crystal glass lens for some of the best scratch resistance available. Due to liquidation, in 1979, Brietling sold the design rights of the Navitimer to watchmaker Helmut Sinn. As such, Sinn were able to legally produce the exact Navitimer design under the guise of the ‘903 Navigation Chronograph’. As you might expect, it comes with the usual trimmings, including steel construction and sapphire crystal. If you like the feeling of a very heavy watch, at 150 grams, this certainly gives the impression of quality (by association to density). Below I’ve put together a list of 15 of the most popular Rotary watches currently available. There’s a wide range of both their more affordable timepieces and their higher end Swiss watches on show so I’m hoping there is something here for everybody.Importantly, this model has pretty strong water performance and a decent amount of luminescence, making it quite a practical watch, despite the large size.

At the heart of this watch is a chronograph quartz movement for reliable and accurate timekeeping. On the front of this Rotary chronograph watch is mineral crystal glass that provides you with a decent level of both scratch and shatter resistance. Powering this Rotary pilot watch is a reliable and accurate quartz movement. A mineral crystal glass also provides you with a good level of both shatter and scratch resistance. These are more personal favourite style of watches but also feature as some of the most regularly bought timepieces for Rotary on their own merit. The strap is also made of stainless steel and fastens with a fold over style clasp. Let’s not forget to take a look at that impressive bezel design too. The dial may seem a little cluttered but it’s still fairly easy to read the time on. This one could be a great option if you prefer a watch dial with numbers at each hour, rather than just regular markers. The large characters certainly make this watch easy to read amongst the complex design. A quartz movement has been used at the heart of this Rotary watch to provide you with precise accurate and reliable timekeeping. A domed mineral crystal glass window has been used as you would often see a domed finish in old vintage watches. It also provides you with scratch and shatter resistance. The Ocean Avenger has a 100m water resistance rating, the Rotary Dolphin Standard. This brand doesn’t have the heritage or recognition of most other Swiss-made brands, so won’t retain its value the same way that rivals might. All precious metal products should be cared for with a polishing cloth and stored in the presentation box when not being worn.
