In an actual listening room, you'd find that some speakers play louder than others when fed the same amount of power. After the installation, I was able to adjust the the levels and tones of each speaker through the amp with settings displayed on TV. As a result of this and other changes, though a quarter-inch taller, the Pack Sat weighs less than half as much as the old Quintet sat. And at 120 Hz, the hole between 120 and 200 Hz isolated the sub and omitted a big slice of upper bass.

Would definitely recommend this set if you’re looking for good satellites and a good sub that sound really nice. After two failed attempts to find a decent sound bar I went to these speakers and wow what a different sound. With the Beatles, the difference was night and day—but it made far less difference to the rhythm section on this album, beautifully self-produced and self-engineered for the age of high fidelity, with crisp mids and a beefy bottom end that flattered ace players Dave Mattacks (drums) and Dave Pegg (bass). The built-in all-digital subwoofer amplifier delivers ample power with high efficiency and true-to-source accuracy. The system's performance is characterised by a good grasp of high-frequency and mid-range detail, and an energetic approach to the low-end.
