About this deal

We’re coming to the end of our Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 review – so, what are the key takeaways, and who should/shouldn’t buy them?

If you’re familiar with and/or a fan of the Adrenaline 21 you don’t need to read the rest of this review; it’s the same excellent shoe it’s always been. If you’re new to the model it’s a wonderfully cushioned, almost old-school running shoe that has a high heel to toe drop (12mm), weighs a little on the heavy side and is generally the perfect long-run shoe for those who simply want the most reliability and the least fuss for their long runs. Lofty ambition The first time I tried on the Adrenaline 21, two things stood out to me: the snug fit and the firm underfoot. The Fit The grip was definitely better on loose surfaces than it was on wet surfaces, but was pretty good on both.It was actually running on these uneven surfaces that I could really appreciate the GuideRails Technology. I’m a mild overpronator, and running on unpredictable surfaces often seems to make this worse, but my foot felt really stable and supported throughout. DNA Loft cushioning is a staple for the Adrenaline GTS. Now, Brooks extended the soft foam from the heel all the way to the forefoot to maximize cushioning, making each stride buttery smooth. Add in BioMoGo DNA foam to the midsole for heightened responsiveness and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a balanced, smooth ride. Unlike previous models, however, the cushioning in this shoe has been extended from the heel up to the forefoot and a centimeter or two out from the lateral edge of the insole. Support Saying this, it still felt pretty soft, nicely responsive, and only got better the more miles I ran. The firmness was definitely noticeable at first, but after a few runs, I found that the foam broke in nicely, becoming more supple.

They remind me of a restaurant that has 3 to 4 amazing things on their menu as opposed to a restaurant with 50 mediocre options. The Adrenaline is evidence of that approach. The brand new Air Mesh upper with 3D Fit Print technology is specially engineered to hug the foot for a breathable, yet secure fit. Clean edges and sleek colorways keep this classic shoe looking timeless and fresh. The upper of the Adrenaline aided in providing stability. The heel counter is a strength of the upper. It was cushioned and held my feet in place. The transition of the shoe also feels smoother than the previous Adrenaline GTS 19 and 20 models that I’ve tried, partly thanks to the added cushioning. Priced at 130 dollars, the Brooks Adrenaline is worth every penny. They provided me with countless comfortable miles because of the execution of all aspects. Segmented crash pad flexes with the foot, offering customized cushioning and stability for a smooth heel-to-toe transition. We position the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 in our Float Experience category because the cushioning feels soft, plush and forgiving underfoot. This means they’re most suited to slower to steady paced runs and are an excellent choice for long distance runs. It’s for these reasons that the Adrenaline GTS are very popular marathon running shoes. If you’re looking for maximum cushioning, you may want to consider the Brooks Glycerin franchise.

In this range, you’ll find Brooks Adrenaline GTS 20 and 19 models, plus we can show you the latest ranges of Brooks GTS 21, Brooks GTS 22, and many more besides. We also have Brooks Adrenaline GTS women’s and men’s varieties, so no matter who you’re shopping for, you’ll find something for them here. The Adrenaline sits in the middle of Brooks stability offerings, between the Ravenna and the Transcend. With its moderate stability it isn’t as speedy as the Ravenna, nor as bold as the Transcend. It’s very important to know your running gait so that we can advise and fit the correct shoes according to your own individual requirements. Can’t get into store? Try a wet foot test Fresh new colorways and cutting edge tech come together in the Adrenaline GTS 21 delivering the adaptive support and ideal softness you know and love.

This break-in is actually part of Brooks’ smart design. Over time, the midsole is designed to soften in the places of greater repeated impact – i.e. the places where you need it most. If the shoes come from an official way, not some grey direct import from far east and they come from Brooks themselves this is absolute faking customers during the pandemic. They hope people can’t or will not return the online bought shoe. For those runners who are unfamiliar with the guide rail support system, you have two guide rails on both sides of the foot (a longer medial one, a shorter lateral one) that balance your foot as you run, similar to bumpers in bowling. I’m putting this down to a few things. The first is simply breaking in, with Brooks being known to take a little longer to mold than other shoes.

The durable midsole provided a firm yet responsive ride. The GuideRail system cradled my feet as I ran in them giving me the right amount of stability when needed.Guide Rails support shifts the focus from the feet to the knees. The holistic support system reduces excess movement so your knees and hips can move more naturally to keep you running comfortably and to keep injury at bay. This is the shoe I was buying a third time after going through all the narrow/Over Pronation/Motion Control study over a week (I could open a running shoe shop after that)….. I joked with my running friends that they are my “dad shoes” because they look like a pair my dad would wear along with me now being the father of two little ones. Want to see even more running shoes? We have plenty for you to browse, including men’s and women’s running trainers. Running shoes are specifically created to be breathable and flexible while providing support and bounce to optimise your run, so we recommend taking your time and finding the right pair for you.
