About this deal

You’ll be impressed to find that the WH950NB has a monster of a battery life. You’ll be able to enjoy these headphones for around 55 total hours without ANC, and 34 hours with ANC. Every time I thought I was running low on battery I actually had more than I thought. It was more than enough time to try out all the features in one session, and it’ll be perfect for multiple days of commuting. Soundstage EDIFIER WH950NB ที่เรียกได้ว่าสามารถเทียบเคียงหูฟังไร้สายในระดับพรีเมียมได้หลายรุ่นก็ต้องบอกว่าเขาตั้งราคาเอาไว้ย่อมเยาเลยทีเดียว เพราะที่ ราคา 6,990 บาท หูฟังรุ่นมาพร้อมกับมีจุดขายมากมาย Safe volume, การตั้งเวลาปิดการทำงาน ฯลฯ ซึ่งสามารถดูรายละเอียดได้ในคลิปวิดีโอที่ผมแนบมาพร้อมกับบทความรีวิวนี้ ซึ่งในคลิปได้มีการพูดถึงความสบายในสวมใส่ใช้งาน ตลอดจนได้มีการเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพของไมโครโฟนตัดเสียงเวลาใช้คุยสนทนากับหูฟังรุ่นยอดนิยมในตลาดด้วย (ไม่ควรพลาดชมประกอบการตัดสินใจครับ) The other three modes work nicely too, and are welcome as often you don’t want to completely close yourself off from the outside world. I particularly like the wind reduction mode that handles gusty weather perfectly, great for when you’re out walking and need to hear directions or just get lost in a podcast.

Below this, you get five noise cancellation options: High Noise Cancellation, Low Noise Cancellation, Wind Reduction, Ambient Sound, and Noise Cancellation Off. Note that the High Noise Cancellation mode is more effective than the Low Noise Cancellation option (these first two terms refer to strength, not frequencies).I also had my reservations about the strength of the stitches holding it onto the case. Believe me when I say it’s incredibly strong, I pulled on the loop really hard and gave my finger a friction burn! The ear cups rotate 90 degrees, and they also fold inward. This allows you to compact these headphones in two ways when you need to store them. The cups rotate smoothly, but when you’re folding them in and out, they hold their position. Overall, the quality of these headphones can be felt in the build quality. I love a loud high end and they allow the high-hats and snares to really stand out in each song I listened to on the album. With a Hi-Res certification, the expectation of extended treble was high. I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed. The high frequencies were clear, clean, bright and extended yet also smooth with no harsh peaks. Detail retrieval was high and there was a good sense of “air” in the upper region. The Edifier Connect app is easy to use and means you can tailor the audio to how you use the headphones (Image credit: Future / Edifier)

Swipe to the left to get to the EQ section. Here, there are just two presets: Classic (the default) and Dynamic. That’s fine with us because there's also an option to sculpt a custom curve. Uniquely, this EQ lets you adjust specific frequency bands, though the upper limit of four bands means you can only tweak the sound signature, not rewrite it. Swipe again to the left to reach a screen with the aforementioned Music, Game, and Theatre modes. If you’re planning on using these headphones for the long run, the Edifier WH950NB won’t have any issue getting you through. When I fully charge these headphones, I can go through days of work shifts, and casual listening before I need to reach for the charger. You can charge these headphones up before a long road trip or work shift, and you won’t need to worry about them dying on you. Soundstage is one element in which headphones excel and which is rarely equalled by IEMs. The WH950NB was no exception, presenting an expansive picture of the recording in three dimensions. The generally neutral profile ensured no particular part of the spectrum was unduly emphasised resulting in a very good balance in width, depth and height. The detailed treble and midrange helped with the layering and separation whilst the extended bass produced a natural reproduction of ambience.

For this review, the “Music” and “Classic” settings were used with the noise cancellation switched off.“Classic” was more neutral in presentation whereas “Dynamic” mode changed the sound to a more “V” shaped profile.

Removing the outer sleeve, you’re presented with the inner box which again, is nice and sturdy. Opening up that box you’ll find a beautiful textile carry case which I hadn’t expected. Most carry cases I’ve seen by Edifier have been faux leather, so it’s different, in a good way. Build is solid - somewhat reminiscent of some of the best Bose headphones I've seen. The metal strip on the headband is sturdy - I did have to gently flex it for a comfortable fit, but then again I even find it hard to get glasses that fit; so that's more to do with my impractical noggin than anything else. Thankfully, the Edifiers aren't uncomfortable over long periods and the pads are clearly nice and breathable too. They were even comfy enough to wear while fully reclined - the only danger being falling asleep thanks to the brilliant noise isolation. Range and battery life Degree

Having said that, I’ll still cover the Edifier WH950NB’s build quality as I would any other tech product, fairly. For as great as these headphones are, there is just one minor gripe that I have: those dang voice prompts! Voice prompts are useful, but you hear them often when using these headphones. You hear them when switching between ANC, ambient mode, and regular modes. Also, you hear them enabling Game Mode, switching EQ presets, and activating Music and Theater modes. The finger loop on the case is a neat addition, initially I thought it was fairly pointless, but I did find myself reaching for the loop more often than not.
