About this deal

If you have been diagnosed with a dust mite allergy, the NHS recommends investing in barrier bedding covers, including anti-allergy pillows. For those who have a known allergy to materials such as latex or down, a hypoallergenic pillow is suggested. It's a standard-sized pillow that will fit any regular pillowcase. You can even completely replace the machine washable covers if you don't want to use them. It's your call. The outer cover is made from 60% Polyester, 40% Viscose, with the inner casing made from 100% Polyester.

A common complaint for many sleepers, and one that is often associated with memory foam, is overheating. Designed with temperature regulation as a top priority, however, REM-Fit’s memory foam Snow Pillow aims to remedy this problem. We've compiled our best advice when shopping for an anti-allergy or hypoallergenic pillow to help ease your symptoms. What is the difference between hypoallergenic pillows and anti-allergy pillows? During pollen season, keep windows closed or use an air purifier: mites live in dust particles and pollen, so on days where there are higher levels of pollen in the air it may be worth closing windows until the pollen has passed. An air purifier can also help with this: read our advice on how to buy an air purifier. The ratio of feather to down can vary greatly, although as a rule if it is sold as a ‘feather’ pillow, it must be made of at least 30% of the exterior feathers of the bird. Down pillows must be at least 70% down. It’s a little bit firmer than the Otty Deluxe, but it’s not so firm that it feels clinical, instead landing somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. It comes with an inbuilt protector, plus a soft, breathable and hypoallergenic bamboo cover (which can be washed at 40°C), which helps you to keep things fresher than washing your pillowcase alone . Just like Nectar’s A Whole Night Sleep pillow, the loft (or height) of the Emma Premium Microfibre Pillow can be adjusted by adding or removing one of its layers. The difference with Emma’s pillow is that it’s made from microfibre rather than memory foam. We found it much more “squishy” than most of its foam counterparts, so we’d argue it’s best suited to sleepers who prefer a softer pillow. I also found that as the weeks went on and I got used to the mattress, I became less restless and found it easier to find the best sleeping position, so much so that my Oura Ring’s ‘sleep score’ improved over the course of a week. My partner commented that he didn’t notice me move throughout the night as much as I normally do either, and likewise I didn’t notice him move so much and that’s definitely a nod to the mattress' impressive motion transfer technology. A little more expensive than synthetic pillows and some types of feather and down, eg Hungarian Goose, can be very expensive

You won't need more than a glance and a single hand stroke to be amazed by this pillow cover. We know we didn't. The pillow is constructed in such a way to include a layer that not only keep your head supported and comfy but also allow for airflow and breathability. OTTY has incorporated a cool blue gel-infused memory foam, this layer has a slow response from the memory foam properties giving you that cloud-like feeling. Although, memory foam is known to retain heat, OTTY have combated this by introducing airflow technology. This is a special way the memory foam is made to include larger size air bubbles, regulating temperature and ensuring that you are cool, thus you get the comfiness of memory foam without the heat retention properties. Getting a pillow specifically made for your sleeping type will help ensure you're comfortable throughout the night while you sleep. Should I get an anti-allergy or hypoallergenic pillow? The mattress is also reasonably priced and great value for money compared to other hybrid designs that have similarly luxurious finishes. The mattress comes well equipped with everything you need to get it out of the box and set up on your bed easily, doesn’t leave much of an odour after opening and well ventilating the room, and it has just enough cushioning on its firm support design to leave you feeling comfortable during the night. It’s worth adding that you should always take any claims of “cooling” properties with a bit of a pinch of salt. While some bedding undoubtedly offers better heat regulation, no pillow we’ve ever tested will actively cool you down. The pillow’s two polyester microfibre layers are encased in a soft padded pillowcase. With both layers inserted, the pillow has a good amount of loft, which is a good thing for side sleepers who need to support their head and shoulder (though we also found the pillow to be comfortable and supportive with just the one insert). While most of the pillows on our roundup have a machine washable cover, you might also be pleased to hear that this pillow – inserts and all – can be popped in the washing machine at a temperature up to 60°C.
