Featuring a large 3.5″ LCD colour display monitor screen, this will allow you to clearly see and hear what is happening in your baby’s nursery, in real time. The Motorola MBP36S includes two-way communication that will give you the option to talk to your baby, helping to soothe and calm them when they need it most. This Baby Monitor is also equipped with a room temperature sensor which is shown on the LCD colour display, this way, you can ensure your baby’s room never gets too hot or too cold. To help relax and calm your baby whilst they sleep, five lullabies are included, these can be selected You can choose one of the five pre-recorded lullabies to play music individually through each camera. There is also a talk option if you want to speak (or sing) to your baby with the two-way talk function. You just need to press and hold the microphone button while talking to the monitor to activate it, just like a walkie-talkie. The sound only goes to the camera that is currently selected, so don’t risk waking up your child in the other room. You can also use it to speak to your spouse in another room, but that might be a bit spooky. The camera unit of the MBP36S has a 300-degree motorised pan, tilt and 2 x digital zoom function that can be remotely controlled from your parent unit, this will assist with watching over your baby regardless of how much they wriggle. In addition to this, this Video Baby Monitor has a range of 200 metres, giving you the flexibility to move around your home or out into the garden; an alarm and warning will sound to alert you if you are out of range. When being used in battery mode, the screen will go blank after two minutes of inactivity, at which point the unit enters a power saving mode to preserve and save on battery life.

Emily: There is nothing I would change about this product. It does everything you need and more! Perhaps a longer battery life? Or a range of different colour options? Or maybe link the camera to an app on your iPad/phone? Seriously though, I like everything about this baby monitor. It is compact, portable, easy to use, and gives you peace of mind as you can easily see and hear your baby. It has great features such as nursery rhymes, alarms, and temperature readings. It's everything a mother wants in a baby monitor and more!

Design

This monitor doesn't bring many features to the table. Nothing for convenience or fun like lullabies or recording. While not a necessity for monitor use, many parents will be looking for these features. It does have a temperature sensor on the camera, but the temperature reported during testing was 3.5 degrees cooler than the room's actual temperature. This can be a problem if you try to maintain a room temperature consistent with the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for avoiding SIDS. This discrepancy makes the sensor virtually useless. CRIB MOUNT - This baby monitor also comes with a flexible crib mount, giving you almost unlimited options for camera placement. With this mount, you can easily position the detachable camera at any angle you like. Screen resolution: 480x272 pixels.

In addition, the scope of delivery includes two power adapters and a rechargeable battery for the parent unit. Both parts are enclosed in a housing made of white plastic. Build quality and materials have not caused any complaints, all elements fit tightly to each other, do not falter and do not bend even if strongly pressed. I have more than one camera paired but the view is from only one camera. How do I select which camera I am viewing? Cerys: I would recommend the MBP36S to anyone with children. The design is wonderful. Both the camera and the video receiver are of perfect size. It's really easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. The size makes it easy to place anywhere in the home and fits discreetly in my son's bedroom. Cerys: The MBP36S has everything that you need from a baby monitor. The sound quality is fantastic, the picture quality Is fab. One thing that makes it really stand out is just how easy it is to use. VIDEO BABY MONITOR - The Motorola Nursery VM50G is a video baby monitor that helps you to keep an eye on your child, even while he or she is off to the land of dreams in the nursery.480 x 272px resolutionOn the left are buttons to control the camera movement, as, the camera is equipped with a servo drive with two degrees of freedom, buttons adjust the angle of the camera up/down and left/right rotation. Also, the built-in microphone is located on the left side. The Motorola MBP36S Additional Camera features wireless 2.4GHz technology, which offers a secure and stable connection for better range and less chance of dropped signal. The Monitor and Additional Camera includes a wireless range of up to 300 metres, allowing you to move freely around your home while still keeping a watchful eye over your little one.

Jane: Having set up a gym in the garage with an aim to get fit again and lost my baby weight the monitor allows me to take the receiver into the garage and be able to keep a watchful eye over my little one. The manual says, that MBP36S Digital Video Baby Monitor has a useful range of up to 200 metres with an out-of-range warning, but i have tried it in my home surroundings and with antena on the top lifted, monitor had a useful range of nearly that distance. But with two concrete steel reinforced walls on the reception way, that was more than enough for me. Jane: If I were to change one thing it would be the overall look and feel, not a particular trait of this monitor, however more of an overall consensus of Motorola units themselves in that they look more like an old generation webcam rather that an expensive baby monitor. That said it does perform its job to a good level.

Warranty

DETACHABLE CAMERA - The camera of the VM 855 baby monitor is removable and can therefore be used anywhere in the house. You can easily charge the VM 855 for up to 3 hours without the need for cables or wires afterwards. Wi-Fi enabled to enjoy up to (720p) video using the Motorola Nursery app. Chris: I would only change one thing about this monitor, the tilt of the camera is not great. It needs to be able to point lower to provide a better view of a low-positioned cot. INFRARED NIGHT VISION - Even when there is little to no light in the nursery you can keep receiving high quality images on your parent unit due to a built-in infrared night vision on the VM50G baby monitor.
