About this deal

When the camera detects the face of a portrait subject, a convenient feature is triggered: the macro LEDs positioned around the lens will illuminate, providing a visual indicator of your subject's position within the frame. This ensures precise composition and helps you capture the perfect shot.

The Ricoh WG-80 16MP 5x Zoom Tough Compact Camera is a digital compact camera for underwater photography down to 14 meters, featuring a totally renewed exterior design and enhanced operability. The Ricoh WG-80 is a fair-weather camera. It’s okay if you never take it more than a few feet underwater or don’t shoot at dusk or take it indoors or try to shoot action. It’s an affordable camera for waterproof snapshots. I also think waterproof compacts make the best cameras for kids. And while there are better waterproof cameras out there, the WG-80 will be much better than the chintzy cameras marketed as kids’ cameras that break within a week. this outdoor camera have a battery capacity drops with ambient temperature, reducing the number of pictures that can be taken on a single charge. High resolution— with all the must-have features

When recording still images, this advanced shake-reduction mechanism effectively compensates for camera shake by digitally processing affected images. The outdoor camera provides a convenient feature for capturing your desired shots with the Flash Off/Flash On mode. Firstly, in this mode, whenever you press the shutter button, the camera takes two pictures simultaneously—one with the flash turned off and the other with the flash turned on. Moreover, this functionality allows you to focus on composing your shot without the need to adjust the flash settings. In addition, you can seamlessly concentrate on achieving the perfect composition without any interruptions or distractions. Resolution is an underwhelming 230k dots, much lower than what we'd expect from a quality camera. Brightness is pretty decent, despite the issues with glare. Ricoh includes a sunny day option that ups the exposure of your preview but doesn't otherwise pump up the screen brightness. You can now customize pictures according to your subject or personal taste using the WG-80 outdoor camera, thanks to its array of six image tone options. These options include the new Cross Process feature, which imparts unique coloring reminiscent of cross-processing film development techniques*. Additionally, you can choose the Vibrant option for rich, bright, and vivid colors, or opt for the Slide Film setting to achieve dynamic, high-contrast images similar to those produced by reversal film. Then there’s the LCD. It isn’t very good. The LCD panel only has a resolution of 230k dots. When reviewing your images, it’s almost impossible to tell if your photo is in focus. The viewing angles are horrendous too. Look at the screen from above or below, and it washes out. This makes it hard to compose your shot if you’re shooting down low. Both the Movie and Underwater Movie modes feature Movie SR (shake reduction) technology, which effectively mitigates the impact of camera shake when filming outdoors. Furthermore, the outdoor camera provides movie editing features that allow you to effortlessly split videos or extract movie stills from selected frames. The zoom lens covers a 5x range, starting at a moderately wide 28mm angle and zooming in to a short telephoto 140mm. This range is good for day-to-day photography and potentially sufficient for some wildlife shots if you can get close enough to your subject. The camera detects portrait subjects and automatically releases the shutter when it spots the subject smiling. The camera also detects when the subject is blinking and displays the message “Closed eyes have been detected”.
