About this deal

We measured the SDR peak brightness after calibration in the 'Gamer 1' Picture Mode with Brightness set to max. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. A ultra-fast speed of 160Hz (Overclock) 2,3,4 allows gamers to see the next frame more quickly and makes image to appear smoother. The Gigabyte has better ergonomics, much better reflection handling, and an optional backlight strobing feature. If you find dead pixels on your monitor, there is a trick you can do by lightly massaging, in a circular motion, the area of the dead pixel with the tip of your finger or thumb.

Similarly to the LG 34GN850, it features a curved Nano IPS panel with fast response times, G-Sync compatibility, and a high refresh rate delivering “the latest hardware, specs, ergonomics, sleek design and sensory experience” needed to complete your gaming setup. Actual features, functionality, and other product specifications may differ and are subject to change without notice. I'm not necessarily locked to LG, they're just what I'm most familiar with and what I know are generally good monitors. The photo above doesn't show the entire screen due to the monitor's aspect ratio and the photo's crop. The viewing angles are only decent, so it's not the best for sharing work that requires the highest accuracy. There's a quick-release feature to remove the stand for VESA-mounting, and the small hook in the middle of the stand is for cable management.

Most displays have the ability to be tilted forward and backward as to provide a more comfortable viewing position for the user. However, keep in mind that not all games support an ultrawide format, so you might see black bars at the sides, or the image might be stretched to fill the screen. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The 34-inch ultrawide, curved Nano IPS panel has a 3440x1440p resolution, 1ms G2G response time, a 144Hz refresh rate (OC 160Hz), and 178º (R/L), 178º (U/D) wide viewing angles. It's almost identical to the LG 34GN850-B, but its response time at max refresh rate is just a tad slower, and it doesn't get as bright in HDR.All these ports are easily accessible on the rear of the monitor – we found the location much more convenient than having them on the bottom.

Built for gamers, it delivers the latest hardware, specs, ergonomics, sleek design and sensory experience. The 34GP950G has a local dimming feature, but it's pretty bad, so this doesn't add much over the 34GP83A-B. Monitor will support console game's refresh rate when AMD FreeSync is turned off, but only 60 Hz refresh rate only when AMD FreeSync is turned on.That extra breathing room lets you take advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate, and deploy demanding graphics options and settings, without sacrificing too much in way of pure image quality. Unfortunately, while it gets bright enough to overcome glare easily, it isn't enough to deliver a true HDR experience. The LG 34GP83A-B and the Dell S3422DWG use different panel technologies, each with strengths and weaknesses. It's only "HDR400" though, but only thing I would consider replacing this with is the Alienware OLED UW that's on the market.
