There’s not much to say about it, which is probably a good thing because it also means there isn’t really anything wrong with it. The rubber base firmly bonded to the cloth keeps the flexible surface in place and prevents the cloth from bunching up in front of the mouse, interfering with smooth mouse movement. And after a week of use I'm not sure if dust in the mouse feet or dust in the sensor hole affect track/glide ( I don't think they're detrimental enough to be noticed?

I feel like the G-SR-SE gives a more balanced glide between speed and control and it’s one of the higher quality pads out there, but given the fact that it’s coated it won’t last you forever either. When it comes to performance, a mousepad will fall into one of three categories – control, speed, or balance. Logitech G640 – This pad I know the least about but I think it’s too similar to the Steelseries QCK+ so I guess not really a point going for that? That fact alone was enough to pique my attention, and when I got the opportunity to test a review unit, I just had to do it. Also, my fellow countryman ropz is using the same pad and he has been killing it in CS lately so surely I should be able to rifle with this one 😀 Does this pad feel similar to the QCK+ in your opinion as well?

Well the G640 isn’t necessarily a pure speed pad, if you’re after speed you’re better off going for a hard pad or a hybrid pad. There’s no stitching here, which is a bit disappointing because I’ve seen situations where unstitched pads came apart from the base after a while of usage. A mousepad is something that’s often an afterthought for a lot of people, but it really shouldn’t be. It works get for me at 400dpi and I find now I’m not running out of space where I was doing on a 350mm x 250mm x 4mm pad.

The problem is i heared that the G-SR-SE durability is bad and i am a player who cant deal with inconsistency in my gear. The item didn't arrive when it said it should however this is no fault of the seller, just royal mail being useless as always. If you have a cloth pad and its black when you will know that these show dirt very fast and is one of the reasons I have been using a hard surface for the last year.It’s very similar to the G-SR-SE, but if I understand you correctly then you should probably look towards that type of pad. It doesn’t have a braided edge which I like personally but this does mean over time that it will fray. Either way: the glide of a mousepad is definitely its most important feature, and that’s where the G640 delivers in spades.

It has a great cloth surface with a large area to move on and a solid rubber base to ensure it’s not going to move around. It’s only natural for a mousepad to degrade after time and you’ll see this happen with pretty much any pad that isn’t a hard pad to varying degrees.I haven’t yet tested that one for myself but since it’s a Cordura pad it should be pretty good at handling sweat. Often, it causes the sides of the pad to curl up when you lay it out flat on the desk, and you have to put in a bit of effort to flatten it out completely – unsuccessfully, in some cases. The surface texture is optimized for Logitech G mice, and when used with low DPI settings, it provides just the right amount of resistance to fast or sudden movements.
