Good Girl, Bad Blood is the second novel in the Guide to Murder series and the exciting followup to the first story. Pippa starts to do her research, but is beginning to discover secrets. Someone living in the small town would like nothing more than for these secrets to stay where they are in the dark. Pippa starts to realize that if Sal is not the true killer, then the murderer who really killed Andie Bell is still at large.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder was named one of the best books of 2020 by Barnes and Noble [1] and received the following accolades: Find out where it all began for Pip in this prequel to the best-selling A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good As Dead! I will say, I don't generally gravitate towards novellas (or short stories, for that matter). It's because I find them to be a bit unsatisfying. Just as you're getting into the whole thing, it's already over. And it felt a bit like that here. I wanted more. More of the murder, more of the solving, more of the explanation. But I suppose it's better to end up wanting more than wanting less, so that's a small complaint.

Success!

Fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder can look forward to reuniting with Pip and her fellow characters in a different medium at the end of 2023, when a TV show based on the series (adapted by Poppy Cogan for producer Moonage Pictures) is scheduled to air on BBC Three in the U.K., with BBC Studios handling international distribution. I was aiming for a thriller that is almost defined by its limitations in time and space, and I decided to set myself the challenge of writing a book that was set in just eight hours,” she said. “The story unfolds in the same amount of time it takes to read the book—a real-time effect, if you will. I also wanted the entire story to be set in a single, confined setting. It was quite a claustrophobic, uncomfortable story to write, and I hope it reads that way too. The tension and the stakes are dialed up to 100 here.”

Overall: that novella I’ve devoured in two hours definitely reminded me of my love and dedication to the series! I need another book! I need it ASAP! I loved Pip’s detailed approach to see things looking through impeccably clever perspective. I loved her Poirot style theatrical revelation to unfold the mystery at the end ( it was one girl show!) okay so this wasn’t a bad start to the series. however i wasn’t a big fan of this novella. i thought that pip acted superior compared to her friends at times and it was kinda annoying. another thing was how she criticized everyone in this book, from the character she played to her friends and their roles. also she was lowkey a sore loser towards the end of her game, but i do see that her theory was very well thought out! Claustrophobic murder mystery game was also entertaining. The plotline reminds us “And Then There Were None” meets Clue. The events take place in an island called Joy where can be reached with only on boat that ships specific scheduled time. Reginald Remy, the patriarch of the Remy family and owner of the Remy Hotels and Casinos empire in London. He’s found dead in his study. There are six people in the house during the murder time. Their plates were empty all apart from Pip’s because there had been too much thinking to do to concentrate on eating.”

Reading this novella reminds me just how much I loved the original series. Pip is such a smart and spunky heroine, and it's thoroughly entertaining to follow along as she tries to figure out the killer. The way the clues are laid out and the setting of a remote island with a dysfunctional, wealthy family exude so much Agatha Christie vibes. Side note: I also listened to the audiobook and that was great too!! 🎧💖 Would recommend that format- it was a really fun story to just pop on when I also wanted to do something else at the same time 🥰🥰 As the night comes to a close, Pip is left with the realisation that she is unable to resist the pull of the unknown, and that perhaps this game is not just a game, but a prelude to a bigger, more important real-life investigation into a locally infamous tragic murder-suicide that she could perhaps try her hand at solving.

I read the whole AGGGTM series last year and LOVED it (despite having mixed feelings on the third one), and I've been meaning to get to it for a while- and I'm soooo glad I finally did!! 🥳 While it was super short, it managed to be so entertaining and fun and reminded me of my love for agggtm 💖 When readers last left Pippa Fitz-Amobi, she was working hard on her final project and doing her own sleuthing to come up with results. She started finding out more than she even thought she would, and now some time has passed. But as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue-by-clue, the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy isn’t the only case on her mind ... One of them is killer. Pip plays Celia Bourne, estranged and neglected niece of Remy, working in London as a governess to a well-off family. The other suspects are children of Remy: Bobby( elder son), Ralph ( younger son), Lizzie ( Ralph’s wife), Humphrey the devoted butler, Dora the new cook. The investigation conducted by Howard Whey played by Jamie , one of their hosts and big brother of Connor. ( You may recognize those names if you read the first book of the series) Connor and Cara weren’t looking her way, rearranging her face to guard Celia’s secrets. PdfFare.com Kill Joy is a novella that takes place before the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series and follows Pip going to a murder mystery party with her friends. It also shows how she initially decided to investigate Andie Bell's murder (despite it being a closed case), which was the plot of Book 1.The police and the residents of the town believe and know that she was killed by a man named Sal Singh. It is the popular opinion that he was the one responsible for this crime that shook the area to its core. The murder was local news for weeks and the town itself seemed swallowed up by this horrible incident. As this is a prequel to the whole series, you can read it even if you haven’t started it. You can also try reading it after finishing the first book in the series, as it answers some of the unanswered questions in the first book.
