Prime Hydration fans on social media have been left confused after they have begun to spot subtle differences on the shape of their bottles. The drink comes in a variety of flavours which also includes Grape, Meta Moon, Orange, and Strawberry Watermelon, as well as the limited edition Orange and Mango flavour which is only available in the UK for a limited time. The heart-breaking disappearance of Yorkshire army lad who went on Christmas night out and has never been seen since I'd be interested to see if the other flavours are better, as I've heard very good things about the Ice Pop and Blue Raspberry versions, but with all of the hype, it just seems underwhelming. By some minor miracle, I managed to grab myself a bottle of Meta Moon from Asda in Oadby (branded as 'candy fruit' flavoured) but Prime comes in a whole variety of flavours, including Ice Pop, Blue Raspberry, Tropical Punch, Orange, Grape, and Lemon Lime. With the amount of hype surrounding the drink - and the fact that people have literally fought over it - I thought I'd share my review of Prime Hydration.

Last week, Morrisons announced plans to supply Prime Hydration, but didn't state a date for when it would hit shelves. On Thursday, the supermarket confirmed the drink had now arrived in stores, reports Manchester Evening News. As for our opinion on what the vaguely-named Meta Moon Prime Hydration Drink tastes like, it definitely has a candy sweetness to it, separating it slightly from the other options. The underlining flavor that’s paired with the sweet candy taste is somewhat fruity but in a more general sense than, say, a traditional fruit punch or even Prime’s own Tropical Punch Hydration Drink, which we feel has a dominating cherry taste. Ice Pop: Again, like the Meta Moon flavour, it has a medicine-like taste but this time there isn’t a sweet after-taste. Instead, a little on the sour side. Worst flavour so far.

Tropical Punch: Straight away it is very sweet, almost too sweet. Tropical flavours are super vibrant and almost burst in your mouth. Very strong and flavourful. Second best. I know I've thrown around words like "artificial" and "overwhelmingly sweet", but that doesn't actually make it a bad thing. Honestly, if you did a blind taste test without knowing the hype you probably wouldn't notice much difference compared to other hydration/sports drinks. Those who have been purchasing the viral sports drink recently have been noticing that the bottles are now made with a heavier plastic and have a different base shape.On December 29, Aldi released the highly popular Prime Drink in its stores, leading to people queuing outside of supermarkets before they opened and, in some extreme cases, fighting over the bottles. Prime Hydration is more than just a drink; it's a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, & a genuine understanding of what the modern consumer needs. Bringing together the best of nature & science, with the endorsement of renowned YouTube personalities Logan Paul & KSI, it offers an unparalleled hydration experience. It's fine, if you like that kind of thing, but it's nothing new or particularly ground-breaking. The flavour is good if you enjoy sweet, fruit-based drinks, but is it something I'm going to choose over Lucozade, Powerade, or Gatorade? Probably not. It reminded me of really cheap sweets you would get from the corner shop when I was younger - the ones that had that distinctive fake fruit flavour and were overwhelmingly sweet. The sports drink is made up mostly of water, along with 10 per cent coconut water and added vitamins, electrolytes and minerals. It has zero added sugar and contains around 20 calories per bottle. The drink has seen massive popularity due to Paul and KSI promoting it heavily, particularly around celebrity boxing events. They came up for the idea for the company after their own bout in 2019. It also gets a lot of attention on TikTok. We could see the Meta Moon Prime Hydration Drink being described as a general candy flavor or even rainbow candy, although it kind of reminds us of the classic Life Savers. Like a classic hard, powdery, fruity candy, not to the sweetness or pop of Skittles, again more in the area of Life Savers. There are probably others it’s in the same ballpark as, but the sweet candy flavor is there, with the rest being open to interpretation. Summary Flavours of Prime include Meta Moon, Ice Pop, Blue Raspberry, Orange, Tropical Punch, Lemon Lime and Grape.Prime Hydration was launched by social media influencers KSI and Logan Paul, and bottles have been selling out in minutes across Asda stores in the UK. Overall thoughts: Are they worth the hype? Probably no. But, if I could go to a store and buy them without any queuing or without over-paying, they would be worth it. The flavours are nice, vibrant and actually taste good.
