Aromas of peaches, ripe pears, runny honey and vanilla toffee fill the nose, complemented by notes of orchard fruits, marzipan and lemon zest throughout the palate. Released as part of Chivas` Secret Speyside Collection, this 25 year old single malt Scotch from the Glen Keith distillery was aged in first fill American oak barrels. It was mothballed in 1999, and then reopened in 2013 primarily to produce whisky for blends once again. There’s that red apple again, then a hint of black banana, wood polish and richer, dark fruits – blackcurrants, damsons and super-ripe plums.

Despite this there are still many good drams to be had, lets not forget that despite the changes Glen Keith was, at its heart, a consistent and top quality malt whisky.
