About this deal

Close all Audio and MIDI software while running the update. The updater may not be able to locate your MPK mini Plus if another application is connected, or trying to connect to it. Incorporating the same keybed from the MPK Mini, the MPK Mini Plus enhances this expressive design with the addition of dedicated Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels. Providing added expression for both live performances and studio sessions, the inclusion of the wheels expands your sonic palette, allowing you to make on-the-fly changes to timbre and pitch. The Gen 2 keybed has been optimised to capture every nuance of your performance, providing maximum expression for highly accurate articulation. From creating loops and full songs, the MPK Mini Plus provides you with everything you need to get there. The MPK Mini Plus is a superb controller, especially considering its price. It takes the classic MPC drum pads and DAW and computer integration of other MPK models and throws in Keystep-like functionality including the CV ports for hooking up modular gear and the onboard sequencer meaning the whole thing can be used entirely without a computer if required. The keyboard is more responsive and playable than it has a right to be, and the 37-key design and option of using a sustain pedal enable creative playing as well as simpler synths and beats stuff. If your MPK mini Plus is not recognized by the updater application, here are a few suggestions to help you troubleshoot:Accompanying the pads are eight rotary knobs. The “endless” encoders allow you to dial in parameters with ease, perfect for controlling automation, volume and other settings. Simply assign any of the encoders to a parameter within your music software and dial in your settings without boundaries.

There is only one bank of 8 q-link knobs. In the software there are 16 q link knobs. How are you supposed to "seamlessly" control knobs 9-16 with only one bank of 8 knobs from the controller without having to reconfigure every time? Restart the updater and try to connect the MPK mini Plus again. We recommend connecting the USB cable to your computer first, and then connecting the other end to your MPK mini Plus while holding the SHIFT and PROG SELECT buttons. Be sure to continue holding these buttons until the MPK mini Plus powers on and you see the firmware version on the display. Connect the MPK mini Plus directly to your computer. Avoid using USB hubs or adapters if possible. While most hubs and adapters are fine to use (and even necessary in some cases), it's important to eliminate as many connection points as possible to guarantee communication with the updater is direct and efficient. Before getting started with the editor, take a moment to learn about some of the common terms and symbols you may encounter during the editing process. These are common MIDI terms and will be good to know if you're just getting started with your MPK Mini Play and the world of MIDI and audio production: If you plan to play some Chopin this is not the keybed for you. You will want something that closer resembles a piano. But you need more than 37 keys for that anyway.Important: DPD will send a unique pin code to you in advance of the arrival of your delivery. Quote the code to the DPD driver to receive the parcel. Does the MPK Mini Plus require an external power supply? The Akai MPK Mini Plus is USB hub powered. It connects and powers via a standard USB-A to USB-B cable and does not require an additional power supply.
