Wow, what a kit , small it might be at 1:144th (it's about 24 cm long) but the fine detailed parts are amazingly detailed, I'm not sure how many parts their are , but I was amazed at the amount, goes together like a dream Snap- fit at it's best. When I was ready to paint, I placed masking tape over the gunner ports and on the inside of the cockpit frame. The counter-balanced base has moulded-in terrain, and is of the same interlinking type that is seen throughout the whole Bandai range, so you can link some or all of them together for a display, using the little clips supplied in the box.
The ship's model and replicas have been displayed in numerous exhibitions, and it remains a popular subject for model kits and toys. The Premium Edition also adds a full set of water slide decals in place of the poly stickers included in the Standard Edition. This of course means that you could build your Falcon now and add lights later if the need strikes you. I would certainly recommend this kit for any Star Wars fan but for a child building this kit they would definitely need a hand constructing it because of small parts. The Millennium Falcon complements the Perfect Grade Series, Bandai's flagship line of ultra-detailed plastic model kits. They respond well to decal solution, but their thickness can limit your success, and I'd be a little wary of using the decals for the cockpit glazing, using paint and masking instead. When I decided to build a Millennium Falcon, I looked around to find the best quality, highest detail kit available. As already mentioned, there are both decals and stickers in the box, but we'll concentrate on just the decals for this review, which are of good quality, if a little thick like some other Japanese decals you might be familiar with.

When they are complete, you just slot them into the bays, and they're done, remembering to keep the gear-up covers in case you change your mind.
