Each sachet contains two antacids (calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate) and an alginate that work in unison to relieve pain and discomfort by neutralising the stomach acid and protecting the stomach lining from irritation. If you have phenylketonuria, note that the product is sweetened with aspartame (E951), a source of phenylalanine. Interactions to take into consideration: – salicylates: increased renal excretion of salicylates via urine alkalinisation.

There is an increased risk of hypernatraemia in children with gastroenteritis or suspected renal insufficiency.
