I too love the source material, and the look and quality of the game and it’s pieces is very attractive. The humans may play as many Free Action cards as they wish after all cards played during step two are resolved. Board Game by Ravensburger is a thrilling and adventurous game that takes you on a journey to the infamous Jurassic Park. If you don’t want to use any of them, you can move the dinosaur token to the Rest option, and all three will be available on the following turn.

We did get all three locations activated, and several goals were achieved, but no one got to safety. As always, we brought a friend along who has never played before to get their opinion on Jurassic Park: Danger. At any time, if you fail your roll during the Climb or Sneak action, you can try to boost your roll. When a human character is eliminated by the dinosaurs, that human player immediately comes back into play with a brand-new human character.

Damage is easy in Jurassic Park: Danger, there are no rolls/saves/dodges, if you are in the same space as a dinosaur, you get injured and the dinosaur player “burns” one random card from your hand, unless the T-Rex uses their special ability and takes two. The dinosaur player wins once they have defeated/eaten 3 characters in a 2/3 player game or 4 characters for a 4/5 player game. You think it’s over when your character finally dies only for the rules to state you regenerate as a new character.

The other players team up as the characters from the classic movie, struggling to Get Jurassic Park back online and escape the island before they fall prey! If a player's character is eliminated, the player just takes a new character - which is one of the reasons why this 2-5 player game comes with so many different characters from the 1993 movie. For example, rather than explaining how the humans work and then how the dinosaurs work, the rulebook seems to jump between the two, so you have to read the entire booklet before you play either side.Let’s pretend it’s 1993 all over again, and you just saw Jurassic Park for the first time in theaters. This means both the dinosaur and human players always know where the other is heading, as you can guess this means fox-guarding can become a real issue. Plunge yourself into this action-packed game, featuring your favourite characters from the film, and battle it out to win. If you watched even a small part of our video review, you most likely heard me mention how hard the game is for the human characters to win. Or perhaps you’re like me, and you weren’t quite old enough to see it in theaters, so instead, you watched the movie for the first time on VHS.

Hopefully that doesn’t divulge an inner evil nature but rather just the fun of being able to control so many different dinosaurs at once. So to help bring back those old feelings, it was a moment of joy when we came across Jurassic Park: Danger!isn't a new game - it was published back in 2018 - but we thought it an appropriate time to feature it on Board's Eye View because the latest movie in the franchise (Jurassic World Dominion) is currently hitting cinemas. The other players control a team of human characters, who work to regain control of the park and escape to the heliport before it's too late! Now, we aren’t saying we were expecting actual, real-life raptors to invade our home, but we also weren’t expecting plywood ones either. They randomly draw three cards, choose one action card to play along with a dinosaur ability (spit, sprint, bite) and move their beasties accordingly.
