About this deal

Hollywood and Britpic vet Russell, whose output includes the iconic “Lair of the White Worm,” is hardly a stranger to Gothic material.

Farquhar and directed by Ken Russell, who made his New York City directorial debut with the production. If you can resist peeking, a fully descriptive outline of these scenic changes appears in the program. Speaking in measured tones and smiling out of both sides of his mouth, Carradine exudes both authority and menace as he tries to explain his unconventional methods to a nervous visitor.A lot of this seems to be included for shock value, without much understanding of how psychiatric institutions actually operate. When Easterman and Styler begin to talk, it turns out the two men used to be neighbours, and Styler admired Easterman, perhaps even loved him. A highly fictionalized account of the London production of this play is the backdrop to Horowitz’s novel, The Twist of a Knife (2022). I don't like to be too harsh on new plays as I know a lot of work and effort has been given by many.

I’m watching Anthony Horowitz dark psychological thriller play “Mindgame” that has come to the West End at the Ambassador theatre for three weeks only, after a successful UK tour. However, PETER HEPPLE for THE STAGE says, "Of course it is all rather silly at the end, the playwright having contrived a conclusion which is not unexpected, but still oddly unsatisfying. Horowitz's attempts to shock and chill turns into a complete farce -the nearest I got to feeling a chill was from the ice in the Coca-Cola I drank during the interval. The story itself is well conceived and is very cleverly written ( as we would expect from Mr Horowitz).A prominent author of novels and "true crime"stories enters a secluded mental institution to interview a serial killer who has been confined there for thirty years. It introduces a detective by the name of Daniel Hawthorne - a rather dark and dangerous man whom I actually met on the set of Injustice. Doctor Ennis suddenly awakens, and cries out for help; Easterman straps her to a chair and after removing the jacket, asks Styler to kill her. Arriving at a hospital for the criminally insane, Styler prepares to speak to murderer Easterman, but ends up clashing with Dr Farquhar about how the interview will take place.
