About this deal

I also have Clean Guides (downloadable PDFs) which enable you to clean up your book before reading it! I always enjoy books that take me to many different places on the globe and teach me more about those places. A Ticket Around the World will leave readers feeling like they’ve toured the globe without ever having left home.

The only reason it didn't get five was because it is a longer book so small kids might not be able to sit for the whole thing.Ashman offers a boisterous update of this seasonal song, highlighting the contemporary tradition of harried holiday travel. Children can be asked to put a sticker on a map of all the places they have been or on a place they would like to go, giving a summary of each of the places. I Enjoyed reading this book because I was able to learn new information about different countries and compare and contrast to my country with the similarities and differences. I love this book because it is a great multicultural tool to learn about where everyone comes from in the class.

I did enjoy all of the interesting facts that the story included, which I believe students would enjoy and remember. This map is marked with each country that you’ll visit in this book with its name and the page number to find that country (its contents).I could also divide the classroom into 13 different groups and then each group will present their group to the class! The only reason I think that is because of all of the facts and there are a lot of words on each of the pages. The book follows a young boy as he visits his friends in 13 different countries exploring the different aspects of each culture including language, food, and geography.

I would love to do a whole unit of the diversity of the world, focusing on the places included in the book. A Ticket Around the World” by Natalia Diaz shares a fictional story about a young boy who travels around 13 different places while presenting nonfictional information about each of the countries he visited. Also, as the reader, you won't get lost trying to figure out just where on the page you're supposed to start reading. A Ticket Around the World, like the title suggests, is a gateway story that teaches the reader about 13 different countries around the world. Together with the full resource of our 26 member airlines the Star Alliance network connects continents in the most seamless and comfortable way.

With this book, children are more easily able to follow along and not get bogged down with too many facts. The hit 1990 John Hughes film, which will forever be identified with Macaulay Culkin’s cheek-slapping scream, gets the picture book treatment. It made you want to read more and to travel and see all these multitude of different countries and cultures. In this story, a boy who’s name or native home is never revealed travels to 13 different countries to visit his friends and their families. I, like many others, have wanderlust and this book really helps satisfy the curiosity and interest in other countries and how people around the world live. A Ticket Around the World is written by Natalia Diaz and Melissa Owens and illustrated by Kim Smith.
