Chivas Regal's home is Strathisla distillery at Keith, Moray in Speyside, Scotland, the oldest operating Highland distillery, which was founded in 1786. After taking New York by storm, World War 1 and the prohibition meant that Chivas 25 disappeared and became a highly coveted collector’s item. Chivas 25 was the worlds first luxury whisky, launched in 1909 to America’s high society in New York. Chivas Regal 12 year old was awarded the Artisan Distiller of the Year award in 2014 in the International Whisky Competition, an honour it also won in 1999 and is one of the most highly regarded blends in Europe.However, given that there is no official body to issue the natural wine label, it is based on winemakers’ statements.
