About this deal

If you have an expansion tank, hydrocarbons in the cooling system will wind up here as well, so testing there will be as conclusive as if you were actually testing off of the radiator itself. Change of colour from blue to yellow in a petrol/LPG engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or to the head itself.

The kit is very easy to use and quickly tells you if there are combustion gasses in your cooling system. In the case of a damaged head gasket or the head itself, part of the exhaust gases, including CO2, goes to the cooling system. Just as a note, the thermostat won't keep combustion gases from entering the cooling system, it just won't circulate the gases forward to the radiator, but rather just run them around inside the engine instead.

Start the engine (preferably when it is warm), increase the speed to obtain a higher combustion pressure.

I have no idea if it should be like that but fluid from the bottle is like half yellow already like green or something, it didn't change the color to more yellow so I assume that head gasket is fine and its difficult to test in Lexus because it has two coolant tanks and it does not fit in that one next to the engine but second one cannot be used to test because when I take out the cap, the tank is not connected to anything so I just attached the coolant pipe to it. Its a basic test with a degree of accuracy ~ if blown you'll get other symptoms too ~ this will help smaller head gasket faults. If you can’t quite find what you are looking for, please feel free to contact us and we’ll be more than happy to help. The blue fluid is not suitable for DIESEL engines as it changes colour to GREEN, making it more confusing with the interpretation of the test result. This key provides a secure grip on the clutch, allowing for efficient and safe maintenance or replacement of this critical component. Other damage to the engine, such as hairline cracks in the engine block or defective seals in the cylinder liner, can also be the cause of the detected CO2. If the system you are working on has a sealed radiator, with an expansion tank instead of a surge tank, with the only working pressure cap on the expansion tank, then yes, insert the tester in that opening instead. Rear crankshaft rear oil seal replacement tool for Iveco, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper 3. Added fluid to the tube as directed and popped this into the radiator header tank, within 2 minutes this great little kit had confirmed my worst fears.
