It sits in the middle of the Arturia Keystep Range and is one of the most feature-packed MIDI controllers available. I have removed one star for features due to the fact that there seems to be no way to dim the LEDs behind the buttons, and I find this quite distracting and uncomfortable in darker rooms as the lights are really quite bright! I’ve used the strum option on Native Instruments’ Maschine controllers, where you manually strum a held chord via a touchstrip.

It is comfortable to play, with enough resistance to allow expression when used with something sensitive to velocity.It's responsive, dynamic, expanded in every direction to encourage musical exploration - the controller that’s built to inspire. I respectfully, but completely disagree with the opinion that the Syntakt has the better MIDI sequencer. For straightforward interfacing with retro MIDI and CV gear, this is way more exciting than a boring interface/control box, which may end up costing more anyway.
