About this deal
There are many twists and turns in this mystery, and although I had suspicions as to who the killer was, I was not certain until the end.
A retired attorney, he is an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law and Entertainment Law at the University of Texas at Arlington. Amy, the physician's daughter who ran the ICU where Sofia worked, was involved in a hit-and-run accident months earlier. I’d like to thank NetGalley, Tess Gerritsen, and Ballantine Books for the ability to read and review this ARC. After appearing in the majority of the other books, but only via Jane’s and other character’s thoughts and opinions, it was wonderful to finally be given Angela Rizzoli’s first person POV.
Rizzoli and Isles has been one of my favourite crime series’, and Tess Gerritsen one of my favourite authors, since I borrowed The Surgeon from the library almost twenty years ago.
Ignored and frustrated, and with danger mounting in her neighbourhood, Angela may be forced to take action on her own .Meanwhile, Maura is proving instrumental in a different context, and Angela ignores advice that she should go back in the house and bake zucchini bread. When new neighbors move in across the street, Angie becomes an amateur detective, or perhaps just an overactive busybody. Another entwined storyline follows a hospital colleague of Sofia's in Boston, whose daughter has a strange encounter with an unknown man at Sofia's funeral. It has been five years since the last book; however, no worries about reading the past books; you will catch up and can be read as a standalone.
