When I picture in my head the woman who wears this, I see someone in their late teens or early 20s wearing this out with a LBD covered in sequins in a bar or club. For an evening out, it will turn you into that mysterious, delicious smelling enigma that everyone follows with their nose.

I've never before smelled a perfume and thought it was an exact dupe of another perfume, but I got exactly that sense with Michael Kors Midnight Shimmer. Although I can faintly smell the cedar in the deepest parts of the dry down, I really wouldn't describe this as woody or smoky. At first, a much lighter TF Tobacco Vanilla, then that smokiness dies down and is very warm and woody, maybe a little incense-like.

It's a nice smell, pretty powerful and lasts well but it doesn't really smell "expensive" if ya know what I mean? Bear in mind I like Strong scents, and this one is definitely very strong, so take it easy when you start spraying and see what you're comfortable with. It has a rich, thick, boozy vanilla which reminds me of cologne of the missions and rehab golden sand.

When it arrived and I sprayed it on my skin, I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed because it is actually THE MOST GENERIC vanilla I have ever smelt.At first spray it smells Maybe nothing special But it just develops into a good vanilla perfume with a bit of powder and hint of wood. I believe that if you layered this with any other perfume, this would be swallowed up by anything else that you would use with it. When I think smoky dark vanilla I think of Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon or Alien Essence Absolue. Wear alone for a sweet, deep woody-vanilla fix or use as an anchoring base for lighter, more effervescent scents.

I smell similarities to The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods but replace the noticeable woody smokey note in that one with a woody moss note. It s my to-go perfume espcially during winter; just a spray of it onto a fuzzy sweater and la la; i just enjoy this creamy, elegant vanilla all day. On the bright side, it’s a great layering fragrance for when I want to add a bit of sweet vanilla into my perfume. With the weather cooler this is spot on; a rich ambery, powered vanilla with some sweet ripe fruits to lighten it just slightly. and while the scent drives me wild, I just wish it was stronger and was more noticeable for other people.Featuring a blend of soft musk, jasmine petals and sensual vanilla, this rich, woody scent is the perfect finishing touch for a glamorous night out. Hints of Juicy Couture's Gold Couture without the fruity, pineapple backdrop and more sophisticated than GC as a result. Both are beautiful woody vanillas, but while Addict is smoky and thick, Midnight Shimmer is clean, deliciously fruity and fluffy.

I can smell hints of liquorice in there somewhere along with vanilla, however the woody scent isn’t too present. On my next wearing I will be layering it over a vanilla-based lotion or cream or even an unscented body oil.It has very good projection, and with only two sprays you will be trailing whipped cream vanilla scent everywhere.
