About this deal

I guess the difference can be put down to luxury pricing for musician gear and commodity pricing for phone accessories. A Bias parameter on the tube amp simulations allows you to set and adjust the warmth of the power stage of your sound. I've tried to reproduce your ParaEQ as good as I could and did try it not with an amp but just using the amp models and into my FRFR monitors. Now and regarding the 6dB added in the high range by the MG-30 in STUDIO DIRECT mode: it makes sense, to me.

My guitar teacher has a Line 6 HX Stomp XL and seems to have added a separate foot press/release part to it. It has stereo outputs that you can use directly out to the mixing desk and get a full fat guitar sound with a product that can fit in your backpack.

It's not that it's terrible quality or anything, but it's freakin small and stiff and all but unusable on a unit this small (especially if you are used to full size volume or wah pedals). I like the MG30 mainly for its clean / crunch amps and I'm not much in high gain models but I see why/where the SLO or VIVO might appears as a problem. Nux really needs to add a FLAT OUT output mode, so that instrument -> loop -> output remains untouched, like a true bypass.

Below is the frequency response of the "Tweedy" amp model, cab sim disabled, in STUDIO DIRECT output mode (PIC 1). Normally the MG-300 would be enough for my needs, but due to eyesight problems I am worried that the screen is too small to make adjustments. The effects are also pretty good and the hall reverb on it is quickly becoming one of my favourite sounding reverbs on anything I've ever used. On the pc there's nothing you can compare with, and on the device buttons are spot on to navigate through and adjust - graphics on the big screen are amazing and bright to see in any light conditions.Since I added the 2x50 watt power amp, I'll be needing mains power for the foreseeable future, unless I can rig a high current 24v supply to go with a 9v supply source. I'd have more chance of piloting the Space Shuttle blindfolded judging by the options available on the Stomp! A built-in expression pedal can control various parameters, and a built-in tuner allows you to always be in tune quickly, silently if needed. And the updates are once/twice a year and pretty significant since they brought on the team that used to work for Digitech.

It has pretty limited features, and I still like the Kemper more, but what the NUX does have works extremely well. MG-30 provides 3 acoustic IRs and 2 acoustic amp models for electric guitar to simulate acoustic guitar sound.I know Andy Gillion used a Mooer GE-200 on tour and I can totally see these small modelers being great for fitting your entire live rig in a gigbag with your guitar.

The Princeton is nice but it has something in common with the SLO: a big bass boost, reminding the impedance peak measured between output and loudspeaker(s) of some tube amps. Hopefully not the inverter as that seems to be the biggest loss, but my Digitech stereo looper runs on 120 AC dropped to 9VAC.You have to connect it to your pc via usb to upload the IR's, but it's super easy to use and the IR loader on it works like a charm. For me personally it just had no "warmth" at all, I tried everything to no avail and eventually sold it. I just wish Nux would have let us select a really flat EQed option, for headphones and/or for situations involving the MG-30 as a simple pedalboard going to amp. I have used and played with several effects units but none had the sound quality this NUX MG-30 delivers.
