About this deal

These pedals allowed you to capture up to 800ms of sound, play it repeatedly, and jam over the top, and you'll be glad to know that the DD-3T features the very same function! Symphony Tech Limited (t/as Symphony Music) is a registered company (5627526) at 66 Market Street, Wigan. Come along as we run down the entire history of BOSS delay pedals through the years, from 1978 all the way up to the present day.

Finally, a redesign to the pedal moving the Direct Out next to the Output making easier connections to wet/dry amp setups. It's now possible to tap in delay tempos using the onboard switch or an external one, with your choice of three beat subdivisions. This TRS socket can support two switches or one expression pedal, and the latter can access level, feedback or delay time, or all of those simultaneously. This metal rod differs from guitar to guitar (some guitars such as classical guitars don't usually have a truss rod! We have the stereo port (Direct Out) on the correct side now with the Mono out jack (Thank you Boss) and we have an additional jack as an input to control the new tap tempo feature from a remote switch or appropriately equipped loop switcher. With the DD-3T, we’ve updated the classic stomp with enhanced functionality while fully retaining the original’s sound and control layout. Also, unlike some delay units on which the delay time control adjusts the system clock rate, you don’t get a completely smooth speed change when adjusting the delay time knob during performance, so the dub fraternity would need to look elsewhere if that’s a deal‑breaker.

With the Boss DD-3T, they've updated the classic stomp with enhanced functionality while fully retaining the original's sound and control layout. ms, 50‑200 ms and 200‑800 ms) or a short loop function that could recirculate a short (200‑800 ms) section of sound.Normally the maximum delay time using the Time knob is 800ms or, in GLT mode, 400ms, but going in via jack A and out via jack B doubles the time.

In continuous production for over three decades, the DD-3 has been the go-to delay stomp for countless players.Eleven switchable modes emulate different delay types, including Digital, Analogue and Tape, a Reverse delay, Modulated delay, a Shimmer delay and two less familiar effects, namely Warp and GLT. Based on the DD-2—the world’s first digital delay pedal from 1983—the DD-3 is revered for its warm, round delay tone and simple controls that let you dial in sounds fast. In 2019, BOSS updated the delay pedals within their ever-popular compacts range, giving us the DD3T and the DD8. Tiny adjustments are made to each string where applicable to adjust its length and ensure that the intonation is set just right.

Direct Out for Wet/Dry Setups: The DD-3T features a direct output jack like the DD-3, but it’s been moved next to the main output jack to make connections easier. The battery compartment is accessible via a front mounted thumb screw, whilst the rear of the pedal is host to a 9V socket, allowing the DD-3T to be powered by a Boss PSA adaptor (sold separately). As delay effects have progressed over the decades, the key ingredient that seemed to be missing from the DD-3 was the inclusion of a Tap Tempo function. This results in a sort of hybrid of clean yet organic tone which has been popular with multiple artists and even those who are extremely picky about their vintage tones such as the mighty Yngwie Malmsteen who famously only uses classic Strats and Marshalls.

The DD8 However is for people who like variety, change, experimentation and more Delays that The Edge could shake a pointy guitar at. Plugging a cable into the direct out converts the main out to delay only, allowing you to send wet and dry signals to different amps for wide, immersive sounds.
