About this deal

Here is a library of books created by a community of parents and children where you can browse books that others have enjoyed and recommended. The first in this series that my 8yo son keeps borrowing for me to read from his school library (he has already read them, and has recommended to me! Perhaps just a narrative that is better to read in small doses, but nevertheless one that I would recommend to children. The title relates to the book because the book is about the a box of Maltesers and the title is the falcon's malteser, "I doubt if you can fit five million dollars worth inside.

Almost pleasant conversation elapses into threats when Nick tells the Fat Man that they do not have the box. In December 2015, when responding to a fan query on Twitter regarding the plot of the book, Horowitz revealed that the story would be set during the Australian summer, and that it may involve the characters celebrating Christmas in July. ONE EXAMPLE IS ON PAGE 97 NICK FOUND THE MALTESER AND HELP THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST THE FAT MAN, GOTT AND HIMMELL. Not only is he so powerful that when he was given a parking fine, the police found the body of the traffic warden embedded in concrete, but he is diabolical enough to (spoilers, by the way), find Nick Diamond, trap him in a bathtub filled with quick-dry cement, and throw him into a river just to get him out of his way.The plot involves the start up of the Diamond detective agents which is probably a disaster in se, having Tim as the detective and a 13 year-old brother (Nick) depending on him. Tim gets the blame, his wise-cracking younger brother Nick gets the package – and every crook in town is out to get them! Falcon’s Malteser is ideal for family groups, children from 8 upwards especially boys, if you enjoy children’s theatre with style, an intelligent script and excellent acting. Nick pushes a Beethoven piano out the upper-story window with Lauren's help onto the assassins' van, injuring them.

In April 2020, when the fourth full-length Diamond Brothers novel Where Seagulls Dare was announced, it was initially assumed that the novel would have some relation to the Australian-based adventure alluded to at the end of The Greek Who Stole Christmas, but Horowitz quickly confirmed on Twitter that this was not so, and that The Radius of the Lost Shark has still yet to be written. A hilarious story about the world's worst detectives by the bestselling author of the Alex Rider series, Anthony Horowitz.

In March 2015, Horowitz then stated in a newspaper interview that there would be at least another six books written by him before continuing The Diamond Brothers series. In the North American market, the film was instead released under the name Diamond's Edge, and was edited slightly to tone down some of the narration and violent antics of the UK release. I hope, if you read it, you'll enjoy all the clues, the red herrings, the bizarre range of suspects and the occasionally violent twists. When a dwarf comes into the office and leaves a package, Tim Diamond, the world’s worst private-detective, is faced with his toughest case yet. THE FIRST REASON WHY I LIKE THIS BOOK IS BECAUSE BOUT A BOY NAME NICK FIGURING OUT A MYSTERY TO HELP HIS BIG BROTHER AND THE WHOLE POLICE DEPARTMENT. I learned through this book that quick wit and careful thinking can get you through most things, such as a twisted case about riches from a criminal known best for imports and exports, with the key item being a box of Maltesers. Its got everything you need in a good book - peril/suspension/love/twists and turns and a decent ending. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins.

The promotional blurbs of the early 2004 editions of the Alex Rider novel Scorpia, and of an early edition of Three of Diamonds claimed that Horowitz was planning an Australian-based adventure for the Diamond Brothers, entitled The Radius of the Lost Shark (a play-on-words on the film title Raiders of the Lost Ark). T. He penned the script for the film The Gathering, which was released in 2003, starring Christina Ricci.
