About this deal

You start by installing the backplate onto the board by positioning it then screwing in the four standoffs, this is now secured to the board and the CPU block is ready to be installed. The redesigned fan and low-profile radiator help H60 excel at rapidly drawing heat away from your CPU, all the while looking stylish with its white LED-lit pump head. Whilst the stud threads were the same, they were a bit longer on the Coolit which meant the H60 couldn't be screwed down far enough to reach the CPU.

While the idle results shows the original H60 as performing better, the much more important load results clearly show the new revision having a cooling advantage over the original. The radiator is also very easy to install, the small end tanks mean that we did not experience any clearance issues with any case that supported a 240mm radiator and the tubing is very easy to maneuver into position without any kinks in the tubing. They also mention that it is easy to install and has worked solidly for several hours a day for a year now, with no issues. So even though 190 RPM would normally be outside of normal testing variations, in this case it is acceptable. Once a water cooling solution reaches a certain amount of water flow, increasing the amount will not help the cooling in any way, so the limited flow in these units does not negatively contribute to its lack of performance. In this review we go back to basics with a 120mm LCS, we check out the new and updated (2018) model H60 - a single fan 120mm AIO Liquid cooler series. The H60 is a single 120mm radiator/fan base cooling solution that quite honesty surprised us a bit in terms of cooling performance, as really .

Beyond the visual move to a shiny black cover, the pump unit has also received some less noticeable, but very important upgrades. Both coolers were tested with the original H60 fan (CF12S25M12AP), the new H60 fan (31-000403), as well as a Scythe Slip Steam 1300 RPM fan which will act as a baseline. Additionally, the AMD instructions refer to the use of four thumbscrews, when only two can be used (Intel uses four). Box Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (registration number 726076) as a credit intermediary and not a lender, offering credit products provided by PayPal Credit. So I settled for this and cut a hole in the top of the case to mount the rad and fan and it works very well. The copper heat transfer plate below the pump has not changed, although the screws have been changed to more standard Philips head screws. Death666Angel - Monday, November 7, 2011 - link Maybe if it is a high-end radiator or noise isn't that important. I knew there was a problem when the CPU fan (the one cooling the radiator) started spinning at full speed and found the CPU was cooking at 85°C.

Look at the surface that these Corsair radiators provide for cool and then compare them to that Thermalright monster and you have your reason for why they don't do better. Corsair does not have published specs for the original H60 fan, so the only way to tell if the new fan is better than the original is for us to do our own testing. Efficient Cold Plate and Pump: Thermally optimized cold plate and low-noise pump design for more efficient, quieter cooling. The radiator itself has not been changed much, but the included fan has been upgraded to a newer model. I've seen plenty of water cooling solutions over the years, but I have never seen anyone with an apparently 360x360mm radiator and nine fans (let alone a 420x420mm radiator with nine 140mm fans).

Truth be told, cooler shootouts are incredibly time-intensive, so we’re probably not going to be doing many more of them. Compatible with all current AM4, LGA 1151 and LGA 2066 socket CPUs and equipped with a CORSAIR 120mm SP Series PWM fan, users can adjust the fan speed between 600 RPM to 1,700 RPM for precise control over noise and airflow. With a waterproof layer you can charge devices near swimming pools or beaches without the fear of getting your devices wet. I have always reused old PC kit when upgrading, so I don't have a fancy case that's built to take one of these. The metal actually bends out of shape while affixing it, which makes us wonder what the long-term integrity of it will be, and also begs the question of whether it could be reused for a different AMD socket in the future (not that anyone would move from AM4 to an older socket, of course).

The cooler is equipped with a 120mm fan that spins at low speeds, ensuring that noise levels are kept to a minimum. We also have to wonder if using the same bracket for both AM3 and AM4 was a wise decision on Corsair’s part. Perhaps the trickiest part of the installation is removing the old CPU heat sync, but have some paste cleaner handy to wipe the old CPU clean before installing the liquid cooler. There’s another problem with this arrangement: with no control signals being passed from the pump assembly to or from the motherboard, the H60 pump is completely automatic, for better and for worse, and there is no user control of the lighting. Featuring 9 sunpower mono-crystalline solar panels the H60 can offer up to 60 watts of power with an increase charger conversion efficiency of up to 23%.The H60 allows you to free yourself from the wall and stay powered wherever you go using the sun's energy. The H60 performed exactly where we would expect it, slap bang in the middle of the other two 120mm AIOs we tested.
