These are on the bassy side, and the midbass is actually slightly muddy, so you will have to EQ them to get a truly neutral sound, but when you do, man do these things come alive. In the treble range, occupied by sharp sounds like S and Ts, they achieve 30dB of isolation, which is good.One of our pairs had frequencies below 80Hz skewed to the left by 5dB which is a very noticeable and annoying difference, that results in diminished perceived bass response. The new headband padding is exceptionally cushy and awesome, and it looks like it's showing up on the upcoming HD300 Pro as well.
