About this deal

It was the first fan-designed official LEGO set in fact, and sold as ‘My Own Creation’ way back in 2002. The entire area is set up to really tell the story of making something from nothing, including steel rods, ingots in the corner, and bright orange ingot to work on all the tools to sharpen the weapon to fit fighting shape. Take a break from modern life and build this magnificent LEGO® Ideas Medieval Blacksmith (21325) display model.

Our fair maiden could almost be mistaken to belong in a different era, with her torso also being suited to the Wild West. Outside, we see continued progress on the walls, and the addition of an awning which covers the forge. In this case, that disappointing presentation also extends to the instructions, which feature an oddly-composed shot of the final set that slices off the very top of the roof. The point is that you’ve really got everyone you need to fill out 21325 Medieval Blacksmith – any extra minifigures might have felt superfluous. A bedroom is situated in the attic and already you can see it has a very interesting feature: an animal-skin rug on the floor. As a display piece it is unmatched, but it is also good for play, with the three levels all accessible. Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for and may pose a hazard to children under 3 years of age.

Other features include a glowing forge with a LEGO light brick, plus a garden with buildable models of an apple tree and a well.

Thankfully, the actual assembly of 21325 Medieval Blacksmith more than lives up to those expectations. LEGO differentiates the two Knight well, equipping one with the new moulded sword and an older face and hairstyle kind of reminiscent of… someone. The light brick is the standard solution, but I expect more a flickering LED and if you push the Bellows, the light intensity goes up.

Additionally, you can support True North Bricks by making your LEGO® (and other) purchases using the links in the menu to the right. The tree also sneaks in a little target on the rear side for our Blacksmith’s wife to lob shots at all day.EU: 6332321 Availability Retail - limited Notes Based on project "Medieval Blacksmith" by user 'Namirob'. There is one thing I really don't get: The newly introduced part 70681 is used in black here, which doesnt't seem really necessary. The small roof uses the same parts and colors which we will discuss more when we get to the roof of the third floor. Medieval Blacksmith is packed with the kind of detail and techniques that are representative of the LEGO Group’s very best models, and even where they feel tried and tested – like in the tiles that connect to bricks with side studs on the chimney – it’s still refreshing to see them finally applied to a castle-themed set.

And it’s really that specific application that makes this set stand out so brilliantly within the LEGO por Although to be fair, by then their population was probably already decimated due to overhunting (and had disappeared entirely from Britain). Our Smithy can simply head the metal on the forge, bring across to the anvil out front, and then turn back around and dip it into the water trough to cool off.I like this approach: it means you're not hunting through thousands of parts when building and you can tackle construction in bite-sized chunks as time allows. Yet I agree that the colors look far too garish and decorative for a trade cottage of the medieval period. This starts work on the kitchen and includes a beverage barrel with tap, a table, a butter churn, and a stove. The half-timbering and wall texture is not as elaborate as on the original but not as parts-intensive, either.
