About this deal
If you want to get a perfectly smooth finish on the edge of piece of machined Perspex a polishing technique can be used.
Using a piece of wet, 800 grit sandpaper buff the surface in a circular motion and then repeat with a dry piece of the same sandpaper. To bend most types of acrylic, the process is done by heating the sheet which makes it malleable so it can be bent into shape. It’s safer than glass thanks to its durability and impact resistance, but offers a similar transparent effect to be used within a number of applications that require a see-through, strong material. Engineered for excellence, our acrylic sheets feature UV stabilization to withstand prolonged sunlight exposure and various weather conditions.
Simply enter your quantity, thickness and dimensions, specifying the exact size in Millimetres (MM), Centimeters (CM) or Inches and checkout instantly. For panels 150mm wide or less the holes will be centred 15mm from the edge of the material unless you tell us otherwise.
Here at The Plastic People, we pride ourselves on providing bespoke acrylic sheets and products to suit your specific needs, whatever they may be.
Starting with the glazing bars, these should be placed on the edges of the roof, insert your fixings into pre drilled holes, these should be around 500mm apart, to effectively secure your bars ready for the sheets. Compared to other materials, they are generally inexpensive, easy to process, weather-resistant and durable.
