These new under the hood adjustments offer the user a streamlined experience when managing, browsing, and playing the music they love. Didn't quite get the 5stars since I feel as stand alone there still needs some improvements with the software (Denon engine) for transfering music to use with the hardware.

Ive found the Engine UI to be one of the more usable ones outside out of all the players, CDJs are woeful in any type of daylight, as are most laptop screens, although the newest Surface laptops and Macbooks have much better screens than even 4 years ago. Coming from Pioneer, the sheer amount of features and forward thinking in this thing is quite something. The Prime 4+ features 25 customizable Main FX and 4 dynamic Sweep FX that can be applied to individual channels via the mixer section. Seems really good but have been scanning my 400,000 songs on engine prime for over 2 weeks so still waiting to give it a proper go, but mixer is good as I've used it with my old setup. Fixed an issue where the Sync manager would fail to export a track if there were duplicate tracks in different playlists.When using as a controller, be aware that it gets a bit hungry with USB bandwidth, so worth watching how many other USB devices you are using alongside as this can cause some stability issues.

With its 4-deck standalone feature, you can enjoy computer-free DJ performances, while the sampler on-board and X/Y touch FX offer expressive and fun hands-on FX control.I was adamant I wanted the Pioneer RX2 and with a last minute change of heart I decided upon the Denon Prime 4. Using Zone Output to command the main dancefloor also send a secondary mix or playlist to a separate lounge or cocktail area, upping your flexibility and value as a working professional DJ. Compared to Pioneer where the staff just looks down to the users, removing opinions and just being toxic to the community of DJ’s as a whole.
