A premium aged, single-island rum from the Philippines, Don Papa Rum is created on the foothills of the active volcano Mt. The island is blessed with a wonderful combination of climate, geography and rich volcanic soil , ideal for sugarcane production.The name Don Papa comes from the man Don Papa Isio, one of the unsung heroes of the Philippine revolution. The rum's potent character draws from the Philippines' warm, humid climate, which yields one of the highest 'angel's share' percentages in the world during ageing.

To make matters worse, the distillery is located on the island of Negros, the historic sugar capital of the Philippines, which produces some of the best sugar cane in the world and it is this cane that is distilled to produce Don Papa rum. After harvest, fermentation and distillation, Don Papa Rum is blended to perfection by our Master Blender before coming together in an alchemy of magic in our bottle. Only the finest casks are harmoniously blended, resulting in a rich and velvety rum, a testament to both nature's artistry and the hands that guide its creation. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Traditional Filipino rum makers do not refill these casks, producing this dark, intense and concentrated rum.
