When it came to Remington Ford, Brick not only had his hands full with the mischievous Remi, but he couldn’t help his mind from wandering with some… interesting thoughts about her. So instead of TALKING TO HER, he assumes all she wants is sex, despite the fact that she had been in love with him for YEARS and HE was the one jumping her bones every minute! Well I never thought I would ever give a Lucy Score book less then 4 stars but here we are, I really didn’t enjoy this book. Then when they did start having sex, he wanted her all the damn time, but then he started having doubts about her feelings. At the end we have 4 people who are very close to each other, in an almost incesty vibe - as one happy family.

Overall, I did like this one, but it’s never fun when a book that could have been epic for you just isn’t. There were so many great moments and scenes, bonds between different characters, and healing taking place, it was exceptional.

You don’t fall for your brother’s high school sweetheart, your boss’s daughter, or your ex-wife’s best friend. She grew up in a literary family who insisted that the dinner table was for reading and earned a degree in journalism. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. And the whole “oh Remi you are just the most special girl in the world” and the other female characters hated her for being so special and taking all their shine literally made me want to burn the book. but the h having once been with his brother and him having married her best friend is a little too much keeping it in the family for me.

I enjoyed the side stories that were happening and all these great relationships that were intertwined. All Characters (Barr one, who I loathed) were very likable, but omg the love that Brick and Remie shared was engulfing, mesmerizing and soooo hot! He decided FOR her what her life should look like, and brutally, and repeatedly, rejected her for it. Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly.I loved the dual POVs and getting to see how Remi and Brick each saw themselves and how other people saw them. Did somebody say, Grumpy/Sunshine, small town, and a lingering suspicion that something is afoot with Sunshine/Feisty lead?

Our hero was magnificently endowed and had the stamina of ten, that must have been why there were so many unduly long, detailed sex scenes which I just tuned out in the end because they became repetitive and boring. CHILDREN, like 8 and 10, are discussing their GENDER identity, naming numerous gender terms that are in mainstream media right now and discussing their own while asking Remi what hers is.
