I was thinking of going more budget-friendly since this isn't my first tent, and the best option I've found is the Naturehike Cloud Up 2, for around 170 euros ( https://www. naturehike tent in the production of general requirements: 210T, 15D waterproof performance is roughly 2000-3000mm; 20D waterproof performance is roughly 3000-4000mm, slightly better and 210T material. Tent fly and bottom tent are used 20D nylon silicone coating fabric, waterproof index is 4000mm, very waterproof and durable. The tapered floor plan – coupled with a ceiling that gets lower towards the narrow end, will limit the sense of space inside as occupants either have to sit side by side or one has to have reduced head and shoulder room if they want to sit facing each other. Comfortable and breathable: updated with a door and a side ventilation window, you will never feel dizzy and uncomfortable.

It’s not all good news though, and we believe that some concessions have been made to hit this spec. Even in my first experience with Naturehike's Cloud Up it took me less than 10 minutes without help.

That said, we absolutely don’t think the Cloud UP is a bad tent and if you don’t, or can’t spend the money on a pricier alternative, we believe it would make a fine companion on the trail.

We could see this tent being a great choice for backpackers who only camp occasionally or those who’s budget does not stretch to the pricier options we’ve assessed. Although we use the best polyurethane waterproofing available, prolonged exposure to moisture causes hydrolysis which, in turn, causes the waterproof layer to break down, becoming soft, sticky and no longer waterproof. I was definitely freaked out the first few times I used the Cloud Up — especially when I heard thunderstorms brewing and worried whether it was going to leak. The Naturehike Cloud Up 2 has a decent-sized vestibule which easily fits my 55L pack plus two pairs of boots.Stability: If pitched correctly (fin into wind) and taut I have found my version to be very stable, including some howling gale-force winds.
