It comes packed with a whisper quiet fan and Noctua's SecuFirm2 mounting kit makes the installation process very easy and straightforward.

Only concern i have if his v card don't have a backplate or at least his mobo has a vme slot above the top PCI-e slot. I think that is more an issue with the design of the CPU, rather than the capabilities of this cooler.

I know I can look at the CPU cooler performance list and see that the D15 is one tier higher than the D15S but I assumed this has more to do with the extra included Noctua fan of the D15. The CPU coolers from Noctua have already impressed several times in various test reports with their very good cooling performance.

The only negative that some people might have with Noctua's products in general is the color scheme which might not be a problem for some of you but for modders it could be a deal breaker.Users who have sufficient room can also upgrade the cooler with either a 120mm or round 140mm fan on the front fin stack for further improved performance in dual fan mode.
