About this deal

To turn on your PowerClean™ cordless vacuum cleaner press the on/off button, located above the appliance’s handle (1).

While charging the PowerClean on the charging dock, the charge indictor will flash white with all three indicators fully lit once charging is complete. The design is fairly standard for a cordless vacuum cleaner, with the motor, filter and dust canister at the top, attached to the wand, and the floor cleaning head at the bottom.Starting life on the consumer PC press back in 1998, David has been at the forefront of technology for the past 20 years. This score shows how well each cordless vacuum cleaner sucks up large debris, like rice and lentils, from flat hard surfaces. The only audience who may not make the most of the Beko Powerclean is those with large homes and lots of mess. Next, plug part 16 into a power source, making sure that the power source is close to where you intend to hang your charging station. Detaching the wand and floor cleaning head turns the PowerClean to a handheld cleaner, to which you can connect any of the four included tools.

Fortunately, for most jobs, the lowest power setting will be sufficient; with a few jobs requiring the Medium setting. It also comes with a HEPA filter which removes allergens from the air, so is perfect for asthma sufferers.Once the first battery runs flat, you can replace it with a second one, giving you around 80 minutes of vacuuming time. On higher power settings, this vacuum cleaner can be difficult to move, requiring a bit of brute force. The vacuum was pleasingly quiet when used on lower power settings, but registered 79db on our decibel meter on its most powerful setting – that’s almost as noisy as a truck traveling down a road at 40mph, and it’s one of the louder vacuums we’ve tested. Delivering 210W of suction power, PerformCyclone® Technology allows you to deeply clean your carpets and hard surfaces.

Featuring PerformCyclone® Technology and a digital brushless motor (BLDC), this powerful vacuum generates 210W of suction power to lift even the smallest dust particles from your floors. It’s a neat trick that lets you clean under tables, chairs, sofas and other bits of furniture without having to bend down. Carrie-Ann Skinner was formerly Homes Editor at TechRadar, and has more than two decades of experience in both online and print journalism, with 13 years of that spent covering all-things tech.

There’s also an angle tool in the box, which bends to accommodate almost any space; it’s great for cleaning on the top of cupboards and wardrobes. I have very long hair that ends up everywhere, but apart from a few strands there were none that needed removing from the roller head. It’s a freestanding vacuum cleaner too, so you won’t have to find somewhere to rest it when you take a break from cleaning.

She reviews everything from coffee machines to robot vacuums from her own home, meaning these tests have been carried out in the same conditions that you’ll be using the vacuum cleaner. Some cordless vacuum cleaners have suction channels that do not extend right to the edges of the floorhead and so can leave large uncleaned margins around the edge of rooms. In fact, because I have rugs but no carpets in my flat, I found that the stronger settings actually pulled the rug away from the floor. In both cases, the flour was removed, showing that you can actually achieve excellent cleaning on Low power.Next, I ran the vacuum on Turbo power through the top of the remaining mess, and on Low power through the bottom. With a pass through on Low power, the Beko VRT94929VI was able to remove most of the dirt, although some remained right at the edge.
