About this deal

I talked here about toilet water, which for me has similarities to Elizabeth Arden, Blue Grass and Ted Lapidus, Rumba. Cabotine was created with inspiration from the aroma of ginger lily, a fragrant flower that grows in the Himalayas and blooms only for a few days of the year. In reality, when I first smelled the bottle I was taken back by how sharp and strong it was even before the first spray. Growing in harsh high mountains climate, this plant blooms for only a few weeks in the spring time, and each flower lives only for a few hours, what makes it difficult, almost impossible, to extract the oil.

Quite complex - it's perfumey, there are things going on but I can't pick out any note in particular. Cabotine has been compared to the discontinued green Tendre Poison, and indeed they are quite similar, however Cabotine is definitely not a knock off of Tendre Poison. In its olfactory notes we can highlight initially blackcurrants, tangerines and pears, fruity notes that are softened by the cherry blossom, which from the beginning and firmly marks its presence. The bottle is charming, the performance is above average and the scent is delightful if you like slightly aldehydic florals. Compared to what's currently on the market these days, this certainly requires confidence to wear it, but you'll certainly stand out from the crowd when you do.

Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. I don't care about labels: "old lady-like", "vintage", "wax-like", "cheap", "smells like pickles" etc. com/products/parfums-gres-cabotine-de-gres-eau-de-parfum-womens-perfume-spray-100ml 4619352834141 Parfums Grès Cabotine de Grès Eau de Parfum Women's Perfume Spray (100ml) 16. Upon the initial spritz, I detect a surprising aldehydic and green tuberose blend, even though aldehydes aren't officially listed. She sees the small beginnings of "crape paper skin" developing as she looks at her once perfectly smooth arms.Does a char grilled burger not smell as good now as it did 100 years ago, is an American beauty rose outdated ? The flower is extremely rare and will only grow in the harsh high mountain climates, where it will bloom for a few weeks each year. In the creator\'s imagination, Cabotine is a daughter of Cabochard, a younger generation perfume, which has preserved the elegance and distinction of Cabochard. After the aldehydes burn off I'm getting a floral, slightly green white musk with a little animalic something or another.

It was created by Jean-Claude Delville from IFF, and he was expected to make a light but lasting perfume, what was a hard task to do. We can find black currants, currant leaves, coriander, plums, tangerines, peaches, citrus, jasmine, hyacinth, ylang-ylang, freesia, cloves, tuberose, roses, irises, violets, musk, sandalwood, amber, tonka bean, vanilla, vetiver and the specialty of that perfume Himalayan ginger lily which was used in this perfume for the first time ever.

I don't remember what the early 90's version smelled like but I bet this is an example of a well executed reformulation. Cabotine reminds me of something from my childhood, maybe a place or maybe someone nice wore it, which wouldn't be a suprise, since Cabotine originates from the 90s.

And finally, Dior took Tendre Poison out of production, as it didn't sell that well and Cabotine still lives on, perhaps that says it all. Having smelled both, I would say that Cabotine is as close as you're going to get to the original and I have enjoyed wearing it. One day, when she is watering her porch garden of flowers, she realizes that no matter how spare the flowers petals become with the sun and winds, the smell is just as beautiful! It’s so happy and carefree that it took my mind off all the horrors of the world I’ve been contemplating when I woke up.It has been a long time since I smelled Tendre Poison, but I suppose this does have a bit of that perfume's special inimitable élan. Cabotine EDT remains floral-sweet, not 'relying on cotton candy' compounds to make it sweet smelling. The fragrance is sharp and familiar, just couldn't place it until my mother commented that she kept smelling something "burnt. It is very unique to be used in fragrances and Cabotine was the first fragrance that used Ginger Lily. Then it unfolds into a sweet floral allure, radiating a pristine charm with a touch of vintage, akin to animalic notes found in classic soaps with natural ingredients.
