On the day of the book's release, the singer posted a video on Instagram in which Craig could be seen at a branch of Waterstones for a book signing, showing the long queue of fans all waiting to get a signed copy. Word leaked out in the UK papers that Craig wouldn’t come out as a winner from his first 6 BRIT Award nominations before the show was even broadcasted.

Although he's well-known for his explosion into the garage scene, his banging songs, incredible writing skills and stunning vocals, Craig is also a hugely talented DJ - having performed his TS5 set all over the world. In opening up about how he overcame these obstacles, Craig shares his insight and provides practical advice that will help us to navigate the daily challenges we all face.

Bad Boy Records CEO Sean Combs, after hearing his demo tape, reached out to Craig with interest in signing him as an artist. Craig’s exposure to music came at an early age as his father was a bass player for the reggae band Ebony Rockers. Craig David is one of the biggest British artists of all time - and it's no wonder, with hits like '7 Days', 'Walking Away' and 'Rewind'! to lean into mental health and depression and lack of boundaries, saying yes when you really meant no and being a people pleaser, impostor syndrome; so many things that were just a human-to-human connection that I felt if I spoke about that, that is something that can hopefully help people and that’s a book that’s worthwhile to make.

I knew that they had very kindly added their quotes to this book, but it just said 'insert quote, insert quote' on the versions that I'd seen. I really recommend the Audible version as hearing his voice reading his own book makes it even more special. Great read if you want to know more about Craig's background, especially if you are a big fan like I am. Craig burst onto the music scene in the late 90's working as a vocalist on Artful Dodger's 'Something' and 'What Ya Gonna Do'.Craig started making his way back to the mainstream in 2011 when his DJ name TS5 started uploaded the sets to Soundcloud, and on the back of this success Craig embarked on a huge world tour that took him all over the globe. A little bit of memoir (with a few hundred words on Leigh Francis) but the clue to this book is that it's on the Happy Place imprint.
