Today on The Tattooed Book I’m reviewing the brand new novel, Cross Her Heart by one of my favourite authors, Sarah Pinborough. My other issue is that once you get over the half way mark it all starts rolling downhill relatively quickly, and that's when you're going to want to read it in one sitting because it's so whack-a-doodle you'll be confused if you put it down a few times. And this—she takes her other hand from behind her back to reveal a single glass bottle of bubbly— is for when you’ve nailed it.

This identity also had to be abandoned, however, when she revealed her true identity to the man with whom she had had her daughter and he became dangerously unstable, erratic, drinking too much and behaving in a threatening manner. Others are helping but she’s on the swim team and she knows the currents will be strong so she dives in to save the flailing child. Fortunately, some of the reviews of this book included spoilers that eliminated any need for me to waste any more of my time with this book.

Lisa also loves her job working in the same office as her best friend Marilyn, who is encouraging her to get back into the dating scene. I read a few of these novels with a plot leaning towards this one but none that were written this way.
