This book is interesting and a good mystery but agatha raisin just isn't herself and James is way too interested in agatha and lovey dovey. That is a huge step for the series, which has otherwise been almost frozen in time since it began in 1992 with Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. I am sorry to see this installment, compromising what up until this one had been a fun set of books. Then there is another murder, Agatha's employee Simon is beaten up, and Agatha is almost killed herself investigating--the charming Cotswold village is not as safe as it looks.
