About this deal

This was a helpful and insightful book, as a young woman working in financial services I am passionate about bringing more people (and particularly young women) along the journey in taking control of their finances. Start your journey to financial success with Female Invest's bootcamp for safe, smart and sustainable investing. The book is also packed with empowering reflections, interviews and practical tools that will instil you with confidence and set you on the path towards financial freedom.

I get that it's a "feminist guide to investing" but I just feel like these chapters didn't give me anything and they should have rather used to paper to do a deep dive into any of the topics. Particularly the latter of those aforementioned, as women are far less likely than men to ask for one.

In terms of recommendations and feedback, there were some sweeping statements made early in the book, which I feel would have benefited from citing the source material/study to add a little more support and strength to the points being made.

While there is a ton that is rehashed here forsure, the incredible part of this book is the deep specificity on socially and environmentally responsible investing. Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. Girls Just Wanna Have Funds (GJWHF) is a women's network founded in 2018 that is dedicated to the advancement of women in the corporate restructuring and distressed investing fields. However I did find this as a good reminder of some basic principles and found the sustainability/feminist part educating. From understanding investment basics to identifying the ethics behind different assets, you'll learn how to make money while supporting the issues you really care about. It's quite similar to Girls That Invest but not so identical that it feels like just reading the same book over again.
