About this deal

Easy to inflate and deflate: You can easily inflate these travel pillows with just a few puffs of air and releasing air in seconds. Personally, I found that was enough to lock my head in place, but I imagine others would want more secure support all the way around. Also, since the cushions block the footwell, if you have someone you don’t know sitting by the window, they’re unlikely to be too pleased. The hollow design perfectly fits the face and supports the head, preventing any discomfort or drooling.

Wearing it through the airport like a scarf also makes it easy to carry, but if you’d rather throw it in your bag, it rolls up neatly into a little ball. Couple that with different coupons that you can collect, and you'll be getting a really good deal on pillow plane train. I also find that setting up the iPad so that their best viewing position is lying down helps tremendously, especially with our youngest. Former Strategist staffer Rosie Percy also found that with the adjustable Trtl she was “able to sleep through a flight for the first time in my adult life, touching down feeling refreshed and without a crick in my neck. We have also never had any issues with our carrier allowing them, however, we don’t check in advance and usually only put it in place once the meal has been cleared. Also, I wasn’t sure which airlines allow inflatable footrests as I keep reading they are banned with certain airlines so I (incorrectly) made an assumption that most airlines don’t allow kids’ inflatable travel pillows. It comes with a foot pump so it does take up more space in our carry on luggage than we would like, but we can improve this by taking the time to roll it up properly. The plug-in design allows for natural and comfortable hand placement, so you can relax and even play with your mobile phone without any arm soreness. I love that it comes in an easy to pack bag and compresses really small, making it super easy to put into our diaper backpack that we use for a carry on. The Travel Pal is a different type of travel pillow — it’s designed for lumbar (rather than neck) support.

Despite a few small faults, the Cabeau Evolution S3 was still my favourite and I had the best nap while wearing it on a train. As it is a hard case that’s made into a bed, there are mattress pieces stowed in the box for comfort.I really love the pillow for myself because I can inflate only the smaller of the pillows and use it for a foot rest.

We got to road test one not long after they were released with my then seven-year-old and five-year-old taking turns. The Bed Box is multi-purpose, in that it can be used as a roll on suitcase for kids, as well as a sleep device. Suitable For: The travel pillow is suitable for whether adults or teenagers, and it's great for airplanes, buses, trains, cars, camping, backpacking, airport terminals and any other imaginable situation. Coach Journeys without my Travel Pillow leave me with a painful neck but when I use it to rest my head it adds a touch of real luxury! To help you find the best travel pillows for your upcoming trip, we’ve waded through them all to find the best.My criteria was simple: I wanted to get a proper rest onboard, and I wanted to be able to pack the pillow into my bag (without eating too much into my carry-on allowance). We used the pillows constantly from the ages of 2 until 4 when airline rules changed and they were no longer allowed on the long haul flights we took with Qantas.
