The fresh/sweet combo gives it some added character and distinction, making it more discernible, alluring and easier to pick up in the air. Interestingly, on a tester strip it smelled less sweet and more green, but on my skin it's the other way around.

Paco Rabanne launches Invictus, its new fragrance for men, which represents fresh and sporty creation in relation to the other perfumes of the house. I just wanna say that when I got this 1 and a half year ago, it smelled sweet, soft and minty and of course with some aromatic/herbal aspects. It smells like all the best smells you could ever accumulate in a dentist office rolled into one nice fragrance. Despite that I enjoy this Invictus scent a lot I almost didn't get it because of the silly trophy container.

I got a triple pack Paco Rabanne tester with the latest version of 1 million (which I used to wear 15 years ago) Phantom and Invictus - which with all the hype was the main reason I picked it up. And the latest releases prove this: 1 Million, 1 Million Intense, Black XS L’exces, in addition to the full range of women's fragrances, which followed the same trend. I've been told I smelled like a married man or tell me they wish a man smelled like this all the time.

And after what seems to be a strenuous effort of taming the extracts, the resins and the oils, an effort from which nothing less than a masterpiece should be expected, they give us. Top notes are Sea Notes, Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Bay Leaf and Jasmine; base notes are Ambergris, Guaiac Wood, Oakmoss and Patchouli. The aroma of grapefruit peel and bay leaves is very rich in the first few minutes, while the marine accord gives a certain freshness that permeates throughout the evolution. Not super overpowering and if you are someone who likes sweeter scents this is definitely one to try out. In all my fragrance journey for the past 7 years, I pretty much avoided invictus because of all the talk about it.

Perhaps one of the ingredients that is making bad reviews about the synthetic aspect of this fragrance is what is doing this to my skin. In conclusion, the Paco Rabanne Invictus EDT is a bold and masculine fragrance that is sure to please anyone who tries it. Its Eau de Parfum Extreme formula is an absolute powerhouse, delivering a heavy dose of scent that hangs on tight for at least 8 hours. TBH - I didn't really take to any of them (although I do still like 1 Million Prive) Out of the three, this was the one I disliked the most. However, there's nothing to make it stand out among the long and growing list of alternatives sharing the same basic DNA that also smell just "nice. So much better than I actually thought it would be since i normally find synthetic ambergris and aquatic notes repulsively artificial. Projection Cant test that too well on my own, but I could smell it off my arm without getting too close so its definitely above average. People liken the bubblegum sweetness to something in the realm of Ultra Male by JPG (which I love), but I didn't get any of that. I don't get directly the smell of mint,but the "coolness" vibe of mint is well blended into the composition.

Great gym / sports scent, decent longevity of around 6 hours and around double that when sprayed on your clothes, reformulations have taken away some of its longevity however. That will be the mistake of many adolescents, and you will find much of the marketing for this kind of cologne is targeted toward this audience.
