Cutting them to size was a doddle, but I did need to add extra stronger double sided sticky tape to hold them in position, as the one provided didn’t hold. No fixings required - these tiebacks can be used to gather your blackout blind and hold it in an open position. I put a 1x1 stick (60") to hold the doors apart at the top outer edge, and then another longer 1x2 (90") that puts a peak in the center. To remedy this I purchased stick and sow velcro and machine sowed (too thick to do by hand) on the velcro round the edges of the blind and have stuck it to the window frame. I agree with sunshineandshowers, easyblinds are the velcro round the frame type so nothing is getting in.
