About this deal

This episode shared the name with a music video featured in segment after discussing the first two clues. The first time that happened was in " Joe Gets a Clue". Steve wore his pajamas in the Bedtime Business Song music video from the 2000 VHS release of Magenta Comes Over.

Living room picture: Various characters sleeping: First Periwinkle, then Baby Bear, then Orange Kitten, then Green Puppy This was one of two episodes (until the reboot) where Polka Dots appears that the talking clues did not appear, so Joe draws them. However, the left light (the one in the window where Blue normally appears to wave bye-bye to the viewer) had its light turned off when it zoomed out of the house, so Joe may have turned that light off and then waved bye-bye to the viewer and went to sleep in his actual bed in his bedroom after the episode ended. In the credits, none of the usual characters are present. Instead, there were one-time only animations. Joe was given a special pillow Notebook for this episode, but when he drew the clues, he was seen using his regular notebook. There was no "Blue Skidoo" segment in this episode, due to the fact that skidooing wasn't featured at all in this episode. The lyrics to the So Long Song have slightly changed in this episode, "But we'll sing just one more song" has changed to "So we'll sing this goodbye song", "Thanks for doing your part" has changed to "Thanks for coming tonight", "You sure are smart" has changed to "You sure are bright". Revealed in this episode, Blue had a boy stuffed puppy named Polka Dots (formerly referred to as female, before officially declared a male).

This was the last time where the quiet version of The So Long Song was featured and also the only episode where Joe sang that version. The second is Blue's Big Musical, which had the credits in front of the red curtains written up in cardboard text. At the end of the video letter, the ending melody of We Are Looking for Blue's Clues does not play. This episode shared the same name with a song from Goodnight Blue that also appeared in a music video from the 2000 VHS release of "Magenta Comes Over". Additionally, it wasn't until Josh asked how there was day and night when the earth's eyes and mouth appeared. In the original, the earth had them the whole time.It was only the moon who appeared in the credits while in the remake, many characters, including Blue, appeared.

When Josh got rid of the pawprint, he immediately started to play Blue's Clues. But in the original, Steve got the notebook and then started playing Blue’s Clues. In the original Sidetable Drawer said “Blue’s clues, I’m so excited.” in her sleep. She didn’t say it in the reboot. In the original, when Steve was following the light coming from the lamp used as the 2nd clue, Shovel and Pail stayed with the bat. In the remake, Shovel and Pail left before Josh did.The Mailtime barbershop quartet singing is the same as the other episodes, but it has a quieter nighttime arrangement rather than the regular arrangement. In the U.K. version, the moon appears a fifth time with her first quote, due to part of the music being used again. As usual, the U.K. doesn’t like to use the unusual short credit lengths. In the original, Steve sang the "So Long Song" all by himself without Blue with him, but in the remake, Josh sang the “So Long Song” while Blue and the other characters were with him. Steve didn't play the guitar in the original, Josh does in the reboot. The Talking Clues are absent in this episode, despite Polka Dots appearing in this episode, so Joe draws the clues in his notebook instead.
