Draculaura's School's Out diary reveals that Draculaura is in fact Dracula's adoptive daughter, not biological, and that he took in her and her mother "when no one else would". She also reveals that her father is not the Dracula who Bram Stoker wrote about. [1]

Her father met Ramoanah while on business in Antarctica. The two later married, and Ramoanah became Draculaura’s stepmother. In the music video for the Monster High Fright Song, there are several character analogues who received creative interpretation by the video crew. The "Vampire Girl" is portrayed by Melanie Mah.

Bat-changing: Draculaura is able to change into a bat at will. But this, as revealed in " The Good, the Bat, and the Fabulous", is a power vampires only get when they are old enough. In " Frights, Camera, Action!", it is then stated that a vampire can only gain the power to change into a bat when they do something outrageously of a good deed, such as Gory Fangtell had saved an important vampire lord from a sunburn. Draculaura is best friends with Clawdeen Wolf, and the two have accepted Frankie Stein within their group. Draculaura's outgoing nature has earned her many other friends too, including Lagoona Blue, Ghoulia Yelps, Spectra Vondergeist, Abbey Bominable and Cleo de Nile. Extras: Draculara comes with a pink tray with a grilled cheese sandwhich shaped like a heart with wings and a pink cup. Draculaura is the biological daughter of Camille and Gaius, human residents in Romania. She was born in 412 AD. It so happens that Gaius, a Roman soldier, is the great-great-grandson of Trajan, one of Dracula's servants and friends. However, after he impregnates Camille, he is killed in a battle, leaving the widow alone and with no means to support the soon-to-be-born child. In a move of compassion and honor of his old friend, Dracula gives aid to Camille and receives them in his castle.

Draculaura is sweet and friendly. She likes to help out her friends and loves to smile. She is dramatic and easily falls in love with Clawd Wolf. Notes: The doll is only available as part of the JCPenney- exclusive Roadster playset. Playset: Coffin Bean [ ] Doll: This doll is a fused version of Draculaura & Robecca, featuring Robecca's metal panels and a slightly pearlescent version of Draculaura's pink skintone. The doll features slots for wings, a unique feature to Dracubecca, not present in either Draculaura or Robecca. In other webisodes, she likes Donatello, Clawdeen Wolf's brother. They end up going to the dance with each other. While the dance is going on Sparky and Draculaura are alone. Sparky said that they have known each other for a long time and Draculaura say that of course she will be his girlfriend. Donatello looks confused and Draculaura says good friend and runs off. It was unknown what Shadow was actually going to say. In Witch Trials, Draculaura has a book and it has pictures of her and Shadow and stuff saying Shadow belongs to me",C+D in little hearts, and Mrs. Sparky , revealing that Draculaura still does like Donatello On the way to Gloom Beach, she also dreams of having 4 Shadows with no shirt assisting her every need. The entirety of the Dead Tired line is presented as also including the Mirror Bed, the Jewelry Box Coffin, Clawdeen Wolf with her Room to Howl, and the Bed, but none of those items are actually marketed as belonging to Dead Tired. Hence, the Monster High Wiki does not treat them as part of the Dead Tired lineup, but this is not a position shared by the fandom at large.

October 23, 2007: Mattel requests the trademark for Ula D which was originally to be Draculaura's name. Draculaura speaks with a Hungarian accent. The accent is based off Béla Lugosi's accent. He was the first person to ever portray Dracula. Extras:This Draculaura doll comes with her pet bat, Count Fabulous, her pink hairbrush and matching stand, and a diary. Doll: The Collector's Edition of Draculaura has some substantial differences from her normal version. While her skintone is the same shade, Her body is taller and a little bit wider, featuring a new articulation point in her chest area. With this modification in mind, she stands a lot taller than the Adult bodied Dolls. Aside from this, she features molded on fangs in her lips, and rooted eyelashes. Clothes: Draculaura wears a one shoulder dress that has Elissabat's Vampire Majesty movie poster across the front. Hanging from surfaces: Draculaura can hang from any ceiling no matter what material. In one webisode, she could even hang from a felt ceiling. In the Monster High book series, Draculaura is often called Lala, and Draculaura is her RAD (Regular Attribute Dodgers) name. She is described as often having make-up smudges, because she can't see her reflection, and is often wearing cashmere and spending her time in the steam room because she is always cold due to having no pulse. She has pale skin, pink highlighted hair, and fangs. She has an unrequited crush on DJ Hyde. There's no better way to celebrate the howlidays than with hauntingly festive attire. A pink-streaked updo, striking crown, candy cane gloves and ornamental earrings complete her fangtastic look. Writing: Draculaura has a special liking for writing and storytelling and is talented in doing so. With this, she has decided to join various clubs, such as the school magazines and newspaper, and is a faithful reader of Spectra's Ghostly Gossip due to her love for gossip talk. It is however unknown how she feels about the revamp of the blog, now called the Gory Gazette.
